Chapter Twenty Two Suddenly Hotter?

It had been almost two weeks since wonyoung and Jae hyun had broke up. Well technically they hadn't said the exact words but there last conversation seemed like an ending.

Everyone knows the saying absence makes the heart grow fonder but wonyoung wasn't sure if that was true well for her at least. Almost two weeks later or ten days to be exact and she found her self missing him less and less. Her heart no longer longed for him when she passed the bakery and It hadn't been that hard to delete his number from her contact list.

Of course wonyoung had cared about Jae hyun at a point but maybe she had just been pressuring herself to want him more than she actually did when she thought about there relationship most of the time they were fighting from jealousy or actually throwing punches the more wonyoung thought about it all the less she mourned the relationship.

"Here you go" Jihoon snapped wonyoung out of her thoughts placing an iced coffee in front of her "Thanks" she smiled.

On a different and much happier note Jihoon and wonyoung had been hanging out a lot lately and it had been amazing. Jihoon had become a close friend since there late night dinner and wonyoung was having fun it felt like she was actually enjoying her life again.

As an idol she worked hard even starting a few collaborations and projects with some of her members and as a Soloist. And in her free time she either relaxed at home doing whatever activity she wanted to or she met up with Jihoon they went to lunch the movies and even the beach a few times.

Wonyoung felt bad about how she acted when they first met she practically used him for when she needed and was secretly trying to make up for it with buying him an expansive dinner, little gifts and an autograph from her old mc partner park sunghoon who Jihoon had revealed was his favorite idol.

"So what's new" Jihoon asked her taking a little sip from his coffee "um, not much really" Wonyoung shrugged "I have been writing some songs at work but nothing has really come of it" wonyoung sighed "What about you, I see your hair changed" Wonyoung ruffled his now black hair it was soft like feathers against her finger tips.

"Yeah I don't want to completely damage my hair with too much bleach" Jihoon replied self consciously feeling his hair too. "You look good I like it" Wonyoung assured him she personally liked dark hair much better his hair cut was shorted and it showed of his sharp jaw but with a cute smile and heart shaped face he gave a cute, sexy vibe wonyoung's type actually.

"What" Jihoon asked and wonyoung quickly looked away realizing she had been staring for a hot minute "let's change the subject, how's the group" Wonyoung asked. "Do you actually care or are you trying to get details on Jae hyun" jihoon teased and wonyoung rolled her eyes slapping his arm lightly "I'm actually asking how things are going" "ok well Jae hyun is leaving before the next comeback" he revealed.

Wonyoung eyes widened in shock " wow so there not opening a case or anything to sort it out" Wonyoung asked " nope, well at least the company's not defending him in court" "damn".

The night they had there big fight wonyoung deleted the video she had recorded of Seojun not to be spiteful but if he didn't want her help she wasn't going to force him. "He said over time he stopped wanting to be an idol but it was the only option and dream he had so he followed through but he didn't have a problem leaving and wanted to pursue other opportunities or something like that" Jihoon added with a shrug wonyoung nodded "I had a lot of trainee friends like that".

The table grew quiet as they both probably reflected on what it took for them to get where they were "well I got to go to practice let me walk you home" Jihoon stood up tossing his now empty cup into the trash and wonyoung tossed hers as they exited the café.

For May it was quite hot outside the sun blazed above them in the blue cloudless sky. Wonyoung and Jihoon walked in comfortable silence side by side down the side walk towards her dorm.

Suddenly a women chasing a loose dog down the side walk sliced between them sending wonyoung sideways Panicked wonyoung let out a shriek as she tripped flying towards the side walk but to her surprise she wasn't toppled over instead with what seemed to be lightning fast reflexes Jihoon had caught her.

She stood there for a second out of shock and awe just staring at him. There faces were close together and wonyoung could smell his spicy cologne. "Are you ok?" Jihoon asked "yeah" wonyoung replied in a weirdly quiet voice. She could feel his hands still on her hips and his soft breathing against her skin. Wonyoung felt sweaty had it suddenly gotten hotter?

"Excuse me" a stranger said as she tried to walk around them she looked annoyed. "Oh sorry" they both replied breaking apart and bowing there heads to apologize. " thank you" Wonyoung awkwardly patted Jihoon's shoulder and they began walking again this time the silence was almost unbearably awkward.

Wonyoung cursed herself as her mind replayed what had just happened over an over in her head. The feeling of His hands holding her hips the smell of his cologne and his face so close to hers she had been so caught up in her thoughts and analyzing she hadn't realized they stopped walking and had arrived at her home. "Get in safely" Jihoon instructed her flashing a gummy smile and wonyoung couldn't help but blush looking away.

"Bye" wonyoung called over her shoulder trying to escape as fast as she could. "What is wrong with me" wonyoung whined as she walked the steps to her dorm.
