The Empire's Downfall

May, 2042. Luke led troops to Tatooine to rescue his friend, Han Solo, from Jabba The Hutt. Once they arrived on Tatooine, Luke, accompanied by Jay, Alex, Mollbry & Mara Jade, traveled to Kenobi's hut, wherein he found the missing parts he needed for the construction of his own lightsaber, the pieces left to him by Master Kenobi. It was there that Jay found Qui Gon's Lightsaber. He took the saber and held on to it to remember his friend and master. While his friends bustled about preparing for the rescue, Skywalker retreated into the solitude of a desert cave they had chosen as their rendezvous point. Using the Force to assemble the weapon, he brought the kyber crystal inside to life, making the weapon his own, almost an extension of himself.

After assemble his weapon, he put his plan in motion. He first dispatched the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO to Jabba's Palace with a holographic message asking Jabba to release Solo. In exchange, the two droids are presented as gifts to the crime lord; Luke promises that both are hardworking and that they will serve him well, which Jabba agrees to silently. However, when the message finishes, he states that there will be no bargain and that he won't give up his "favorite decoration". The two droids are then sent to their quarters, where EV-9D9 harshly barks at the two when they explain what they can do. 3PO is ordered to be Jabba's interpreter, while R2 is tasked with working on the Khetanna. Later, Leia, disguised a bounty hunter named Boushh, arrives with Chewbacca as her "prisoner" to collect part of the bounty Jabba sought years earlier when he put a price on Solo's head. After much bargaining, via Leia threatening Jabba with a thermal detonator, Jabba settles on a deal and has Chewbacca imprisoned. That night, Leia releases Han Solo from his carbonite coffin, and after revealing her identity to him, she kisses him. As they prepare to escape, they are caught by Jabba and his thugs. Ignoring Han's pleas, Jabba has the captain thrown in prison with Chewbacca. Although Lando Calrissian, disguised as one of Jabba's prison guards, tries to sneak off with Leia, Jabba stops them and orders a Gamorrean guard to bring Leia to him. Leia warns the Hutt that he will regret capturing the Rebels, but Jabba ignores the threat and licks her face. Leia is forced to become Jabba's newest slave girl, being made to wear a dancing costume and chained to the throne as a trophy.

The night morning, Luke, Mara Jade & Jay arrived at the palace after Leia sent a message to Skywalker and Calrissian that she had been captured as well. Luke use of the Force on the Gamorrean Guards, allowing him, Mara & Jay to get past him. Then, they came across Jabba's majordomo, Bib Fortuna. He tried to impede the Jedi's entrance, but, Luke Force-tricked him into welcoming him and his friends to Jabba. Leia remains silent beside the Hutt, despite her rising hope at seeing Luke. Luke demands that Jabba release Han and his other friends, but Jabba refuses the young Jedi's offer. Mara, at the moment, pulled out her blaster; just as Luke uses the Force to pull a nearby blaster and attempts to shoot Jabba, but the Hutt activates the trapdoor to protect himself, dropping the Jedi and an unfortunate guard into the rancor pit. Jay recalled the terrifying experience while he, Luke and Mara were in the rancor pit.

"Then, the gates of the pit opened up, revealing Jabba's rancor named Patessa. One of the Gamorreans, named Jubnuk, tried to escape only to be eaten by it. Mara and I moved out of the creature's path, but Luke picked up a large oblong bone and inserted it vertically into the rancor's mouth as it lifted him up. Dropping Luke, he hid in a nook in the wall while Mara and I attacked the rancor. Mara stood in front of a nook, protecting Luke. I confronted it only to be lifted by him. Then, I remembered the Bowie Knife I borrowed from Private Parker. Pulling it out, I stabbed the rancor's hand, causing it to drop me. I was tempted to use Master Qui Gon's lightsaber and sliced off the rancor's hand. But, I chose not too and focused on surviving. Luke, with help from Mara, rushed to the gate in the smallest area of the pit. I soon followed them and tried to help them lift them. To be honest, I don't know what is worst: Surviving a giant hungry rancor or facing an execution from an Imperial firing squad. Then, an idea struck me. Seeing the switch by the gate, I thought of a perfect way to stop the rancor. I told Luke and Mara my plan, which they thought I was crazy. I told them to trust me. I rushed out to the rancor and began lure it to the gate. Luke saw what he was doing and went along with Jay's plan. Then, Luke picked up the skull of a previous prisoner and threw it at the switch. The lever broke and the gate crushed the rancor's head, killing it. This shocked everyone and angered Jabba and ordered us up to see him." Jay Lyon May 22nd, 2042.
