After discovering their Coach's impaled corpse in a tree, the traumatised group all checked through their bags for any possible supplies until they found help. Kalista sat with Travis, checking every few minutes that he was okay, her eyes flickering between him and her suitcase. Seeing his father like that must've been so traumatising but he seemed out of it and she didn't know what to say or do so she remained silent. Hope was dwindling but it was all they had, someone had to find them, they just had to.

Grabbing the two bottles of water she had, she placed it in the pile that they had gathered of supplies. So far, there wasn't enough to last a week, all Kalista could think was that help better come and it better come fast because at this rate, none of them were going to make it out alive.

Night fell and still there was nothing, the group all losing hope. Dragging behind the rest of the group as they walked to a new location was Natalie, Travis and Kalista, the trio sharing Natalie's flask. Nothing was said but they could all feel the disappointment in the atmosphere. Sorrow for the ones they'd lost and sorrow for themselves for what they now had to live through.

A fire was started in an attempt to keep the group warm but it wasn't doing much good for them. Breaking from the trio they'd created, Kalista went to go find her sister, locating her by her suitcase. In her hand she had exactly what Kalista was thinking of, as if she could read her mind. Pills, around five, rest in the palm of her hand and she tipped it into the bottle.

"I don't think there's going to be enough." Lottie spoke quietly, her voice low so only her sister could hear it.

"Someone's going to find us." Kalista spoke optimistically although the tone of her voice gave it away.

"K, I have a feeling that we won't be making it out of here anytime soon." Lottie replied, the only time her pessimistic side would be revealed is around her sister.

"Come on, let's go to the others." Kalista changed the subject, grabbing her sister's hand to go join the others around the fire.

Once they arrived, they noticed another conversation had begun and silently they joined into the atmosphere, as if they'd never left in the first place. The person talking when they arrived was Laura Lee, her face solemn as she looked into the deep ember flickering before her.

"This is all my fault." Laura Lee announced, a tear rolling down her cheek as she refused to look up. "I did something really bad." Natalie and Kalista shared a look but turned back to the girl who was speaking. "I kept screwing up in my piano lesson last week. Mrs Brophy kept yelling at me. Sharp F, sharp F, sharp. I just...I couldn't take it anymore. So I called her a bad word. Just in my head, but...God heard me and now we are all being punished."

"Oh, what did you call her?" Kalista asked slowly, trying to keep her voice calm to hide the laughter threatening to spill from the amusing situation.

"Cunt." Laura Lee whispered and silence surrounded the group before Kalista's loud laughter broke through. Van joined in and suddenly the group were mimicking their actions, seemingly finding the entire situation hilarious. After a few seconds Laura Lee joined in, thankful they didn't hate her for what she'd said.

Breaking the silence, Lottie spoke up about her own wrongdoing. "I steal shitty clothes from T.J. Maxx." She quickly spoke up, fuelled by Laura Lee's confession.

"You what?" Kalista's eyes widened as she looked towards her sister who grinned innocently.

"I return them and I get credit that I never use, and I have thousands of dollars in T.J. bucks." Lottie finished and once again the group's laughter echoed through the silent night.

"I can't believe you never told me this." Kalista complained and lightly hit her sister's shoulder while Lottie merely shrugged.

"I used to sneak downstairs after everybody had gone to bed and watch the Colour of Night so I could pause it on Bruce Willis' wang." Jackie confessed, the group finding great amusement in their friend's dark secrets.

"That is definitely why we crashed." Taissa joked, shaking her head as she continued to let laughter slip by her lips.

"I mean, Jeff's not bad, but damn." Jackie continued as Kalista's eyes widened at the description.

"I broke dad's priceless antique set when he had friends around and blamed it on one of his son's." Kalista suddenly announced, believing this was a great distraction for them all. "I think his name was Louis, but his father paid our father for the mess and we never saw the boy again."

"Okay that one was one hundred percent the reason we crashed." Van confirmed with a laugh, shaking her head as she leaned forwards to high five the Matthews girl.

"I knew that was you!" Lottie exclaimed happily, eyes widened as she joined in on the laughter of the group.

"What about you, Shipman?" Jackie asked her best friend Shauna. "Any secrets big enough to crash a goddamn plane?"

Judging by how long it took the girl to answer, Kalista guessed that Shauna did in fact have a big secret. It intrigued her but she reminded herself now was not the time to be nosy and the girl was probably going to lie about her secret, none of them would know what she was hiding. Before they could hear what was going on in Shauna's deep and mysterious life, a scream pierced the forest, alerting their attention immediately.

Hurriedly, they all rose to their feet and followed in its direction to find Coach Scott and Misty. Kalista never really know what was going on with Misty, other than the fact that she was seen as the weird one. She wasn't a member of the YellowJackets but she stayed glued to the Coaches side, always trying to help out. She had nothing against the girl and didn't partake in the bullying but to a certain extent she could understand it, Misty was a bit weird and even psychotic at times.

Misty was an enigma and at times, Kalista believed she wasn't trustworthy.

Breaking away from the excitement, the group moved to make a place to sleep for the night. Each grabbed whatever they could and decided sleeping together would be for the best. Lottie moved to rest on one side of Kalista while Natalie was laid on her other. Resting her head on her sister's shoulder she found herself drifting into sleep, hoping that when she awoke she would discover this was all one disastrous nightmare.
