"Shit" I mumbled, leaning against the old tattered walls of an abandoned building. I watched as the cars zoomed past beneath me as if they were in an endless race.
Today's commission was to gather information on the notorious Bonten, the most dangerous criminal organization in all of Japan. "Murder, assault, bribery, loans, illegal drug trade, and whatever messed up shit you can think of had their roots deeply entangled with them," I say as I scrolled through their database.
"Yo Rin, what's popping?" A man dressed in a loose navy blue suit and messy gray hair waved frantically as he sat down on the bar counter. "A Martini please," the man grinned. "So what does the famous detective want with me?" I say as I began mixing the ingredients. "Can't I just come visit a friend?" He replied with a dramatic hurt face. "Hate to break it to ya but I would very much like to NOT deal with the police," I say while sliding his Martini over. "I'm hurt, so hurt. My heart has broken into a million pieces!" Once again, the man continues to dramatically cry out, blabbering nonsense until the word Bonten perked my interest.
I slid my laptop down beside my bag and proceeded to place myself over the railings of the building with my legs dangling out as I reach for a pack of cigarettes. The breeze felt nice as I took a drag of my cigarette. I watched as the street lights flickered lighting up the dull streets of this fucked up city, as the cars zoomed like they trying to imitate the wind. Closing my eyes and feeling the wind against my hair, I zone out. Silencing the world around.
