The wretched town they lived in was hotter than the Sahara. How the hell did Italy turn this warm? No fucking idea. All six of them sat together for breakfast in complete silence, the extreme temperature doing nothing to melt the frozen hearts of the men. Aadrika glared a hole into Aurelio's head but he paid her no mind. He knew what she wanted, and he wasn't going to give it to her.
Adhira and Aadya had similar feelings towards their husbands. Both of whom were ignoring them. Aadya nudged her husband's foot and he dropped his head to analyze his food even more closely.
"What the fuck are you even looking for in that plate? It's nothing but food. Stop drowning into it like it's a whole fucking galaxy." Aadya hissed at him lightly, making sure no one else heard her.
"What are you looking for on the side of my head? Stop glaring or you'll crack a hole into my skull." She honestly wished she could.
Adhira on the other hand simply grumbled under her breath that annoyed Romeo to no extent. "Do you want to say something Adhira?"
"No. I don't want to say anything to you. What even is the point of saying anything? You never listen. Do whatever the hell you want!" Everyone stared at Adhira with wide eyes and she huffed before stabbing her food with her fork.
"This is all your doing." Aurelio jerked, appalled by his wife's word. "How so, mio moglie?"
(My wife)
"Can't you just let us go? What are we even asking of you? Just to let us go out, get some air. We will come back before you know it. I am not asking you to get me the moon."
"That's enough!" Aurelio stood up and wore his jacket that was wrapped on the back of his chair. "We have more enemies than you can count. You are safe in the house. It doesn't matter how much security we send with you, outside these walls is a death sentence waiting for all of you. I find no joy in keeping you here but this is for your own good." With that he was out the door, his brothers followed him behind muttering a 'we'll be late'.
Aadya looked around. "I swear these walls have started to close up on me."
"Fuck this shit, we are going out!" Aadrika had a full proof plan and she was getting out. Adhira shook her head. "They have increased the security di. We can't get out of here because there is a guard at every step. They won't let us leave."
"Then we will sneak out."
"Increased security, remember? We can't leave."
"We can and we will. Go get ready. Meet me here in fifteen minutes. I'll get us out."
Now the thing was, she did get them out. All three of them met at the end of the stairs, dressed in plain denim shorts and loose cropped t-shirts. They needed to beat the heat.
The sisters walked towards the open field in the back of their mansion and Aadrika dusted mud off a metal handle. She pulled at it, opening a passage.
"What the fuck? You dug a hole to get us out?"
"Come on Aadya, why would I dig a hole? It was already there. I just found it a couple days ago. Go on, jump." The bottom of the pit was a part of the garage. They spotted the car their father gifted them in the corner and climbed in.
Adhira drove it out the back of the garage that had a similar hidden door to the one they entered through. Aadrika was beside her sister on the passenger seat and Aadya lounged in the back. It was fun being rebellious and they had been locked up in that house for months. The Americans have been too quiet and that made the men believe that they have changed strategies and are now after their wives. So the ladies have been in the house, bored to death. They have turned claustrophobic.
