War. It awaits the whole family. They know it, the Americans are not going to stay quiet, not after they received the dead body of the woman they have been fighting for. Things have changed now. This time when the Americans attack, it would be final. The end of everything.

"Why should we fight with you?"

Aurelio almost rolled his eyes. The Russian Don was not fond of him and his feelings were mutually returned. The two Mafias barely tolerated each other. But these were hard times. And as the famous saying goes, enemy's enemy is a friend. And the Russian hate American just as much.

"You should side with us because Americans are a pain in the ass. They would do anything to expand and win. We let you live the way you want, never interfere in your business. Can't say the same for Americans. And they are involved in something we both don't tolerate. Human trafficking. They need to be stopped. If we win against them, we will give you access to their ports for your business."

That was a good deal. The Russian knew. His eyes shifted from the Italian Capo to the killing machine. His scores were still not settled. "I will help, but Romeo has to apologize for killing my underboss."

The man in question gave a bored sigh. "It was months ago. And your underboss was an asshole. Get over it."

"Do you need my help or not?"

For fucks sake.

"Fine. I am sorry."

"For?"

"Don't push it. I am still the same Romeo who killed your man. If you don't want to go greet him in hell, I suggest you take what you can get." The Russian Don sighed. Agreeing to the terms of the upcoming war. Italians had all the power. They had the Russian support as well as Indians. They will win the war. Only if the fucking Americans don't pull any last minute surprises.

Aurelio and Romeo returned home to their wives and an unexpected guest. "Hello, gentlemen. It's been a while." Both the men stared at their father in law with surprise. He has offered to send his men for the war, but nowhere in that conversation did he mention that he would be gracing them with his own presence.

The men nodded at their father in law and excused themselves. Aadrika followed behind her husband until they reached their room.

"I didn't know your father would be coming."

"Neither did I. He just showed up, saying he wanted to see us all and help with the war." Aurelio hummed while taking his shoes off.

"I don't exactly trust your father."

"And why is that? Because he hid that his daughters are assassins?"

"Yes." Aurelio looked at his wife with a deadpan expression and moved to change his clothes. "Well, get over it. It's been a long while. And you forgave us, remember? There is no need to blame our father. He was just protecting us. Let's just focus on the war, win it and live in fucking peace. These Americans are pissing me off."

"They piss everyone off. That's literally their purpose in life. All we need to worry about is to win this god forsaken war."

🍂

Romeo stared at his father in law as the man walked inside his room to rest after his long flight.

Fucking finally.

Romeo had sat with the old man for two hours when the Indian Don finally decided that he was tired. Romeo dragged his feet upto his room. It was only mid day, and yet he was already tired. Wars are exhausting. He and Aurelio have been talking and getting men into their army, strengthening their forces. While Armando had been trying to figure out every technical detail there is to know about the enemy.
