The Kingdoms Arrangement [H.S]

XVIII

***** Harry's POV *****

           And there she was, looking as beautiful as ever. Kit nudges my shoulder as he notices me getting teary eyed, but all I can do is look at her. She gets to the altar and I see her father kiss her on the cheek as I hold out my hand to her. When she takes my hand I feel complete, I shake her fathers hand as I take Artemis' into my own. "You look breathtaking." Is all I can mutter out, and she blushes behind her veil.

"Thank you." she whispers we stand in front of the minister and he begins to talk, but all I can do is stare at Artemis. What is she thinking? Is she happy? What do I do with my hands? I hear Artemis cough, and I look up.

"Hm?" I whisper and the audience laughs. Oh god this is embarrassing.

"Your vows, son." The minister nods at me, and I shake my head in response. I pull a piece of paper out of my pocket and begin reading.

"Artemis I never knew what home was like until I met you, my brother was the closest thing I had to unconditional love. The fact that you two have become such close friends makes it all the better. You inspire me, your passion for your people is what I aspire to be. I cannot wait to rule alongside you and maybe add to our family along the way," I wink at her and she blushes, "I love you, Artemis, and I promise that I will always be here for you."

I see a couple of people wiping their eyes, King Reagan being one of them. The minister lets Artemis know it's her turn and she whispers something under her breath but I can't make it out. Louise hands Artemis a piece of paper, and she begins to read off of it.

"I am not going to stand up here and pretend I loved you the moment I saw you. When I first saw you I thought you hated me. But I couldn't stay away, I was drawn to you and the broodiness you exerted." I hear Kit chuckle behind me. " The more I was around you, the more I needed to be near you to breathe. I promise to show you everyday how it really feels to be loved and to always be there for you." She puts the paper down. "And yes add more to the family along the way." She winks back to me.

A couple stray tears fall down my cheeks and a couple fall down Artemis' as well, I look to the minister and whisper to him, "Can we kiss now?" and he shakes his head 'no', making me frown.

"May we have the rings?" He looks at Kit and Louise, they both hand them to us separately and I'm shaking trying to not drop Artemis'. "Now repeat after me."

"With this ring I thee wed." Artemis says placing my titanium ring on my finger, I repeat the words as well and place her wedding ring over her engagement ring.

"With this ring I give to you my promise that from this day forward you will not walk alone." I rub my thumb along Artemis' ring finger, repeating the minister's words.

"May my heart be your shelter and my arms be your home." More tears are being shed with those words, my home. My forever home.

"And may we walk together in all things." The minister finishes and Artemis and I smile at each other brightly.
