Mattheo's POV:

Today had been very difficult on Madison, so I decided to make a change to my schedule to hopefully make it better for her. It had just fallen dark and I climbed up a giant staircase. I opened the door at the top and walked into the astronomy classroom. Madison was sitting with her left leg over her right, her posture was perfect, she held an astronomy book in her left hand, and she had her right hand draped over her left thigh. Just her body language was enough to suffocate me, she was a vision to be seen. I glanced around and noticed there were mostly boys in this class, a handful of Hufflepuffs, a dash of Ravenclaws, and a sprinkle of Gryffindors. It looked like Madison and I were going to be the only Slytherins here.

I began walking towards Maddi when I watched a group of 3 Ravenclaw boys and a Ravenclaw girl walk over to her. I drew my eyebrows together as I listened to what was being said. "What're you even doing here? Slytherins are no good and don't deserve to be in a prestige class like this. Most of us were waitlisted for all of our years just to be here." The girl said.

"Take a look around, you're the only Slytherin here, you don't belong here,"

"Well, me being the only Slytherin should say something about how incredibly talented I am in my house," Maddi said. I smiled faintly at her optimism, she is incredibly talented.

"Be realistic, the only reason you're here is out of pity. You and your no-good friends should be expelled, no one feels safe with you six lurking around. Especially Riddle."

I cracked my knuckles as the girl spoke again, "Oh be realistic boys, the only reason they let her into the group is because they were so sick and tired of fucking Pansy all the time-"

"You will not speak ill about my best friend! Even if that was true, you're just jealous it isn't you that they picked,"

"Shut up bitch, you don't deserve to speak, you aren't even a pureblood! May as well be a mudblood as far as I'm concerned. Your entire family is a disgrace to the wizarding community. The only decent one in your family is your brother. You'll never amount to anything special." One of the boys said and shoved Madison.

I snapped, I grabbed the boy that was speaking by the collar of his shirt and turned him to face me. "Walk away, before I send you to the infirmary."

The others looked at me and I watched their faces drop. "Mattheo?" I heard Madison question.

I glanced at her and saw the sadness in her eyes. The guy was the same height and build as me, he scoffed, "I'm not scared of you, Riddle,"

"Oh, but you really should be," I said with a faint smile. "Now you listen to me, the next time you even look in her direction, remember my threat, I will break you in half. Now heed that warning because I can assure you there won't be another." I stood there and waited till he backed down. I walked over to Madison and her eyes lit up but I watched them widen which told me everything I needed to know. I blocked the attempted hit to my head and turned to face him. "You just fucked up," I held onto his arm and twisted it. I watched as his face contorted in pain making me smirk, I punched him in the face and let go of his arm so he could grab his face. "Maybe now you'll heed my warning."

"You are so dead," One of the other boys said. It was a 1 v 2 and I was living for it.

"Bring it on then," I dropped my robe and put my hands up. The left guy came at me first, I blocked and punched him and the other cheeky bastard punched me in the face. I punched him in the stomach and as he folded over I kneed him in the stomach. I took a hard hit to the face and glanced at the guy, I punched left and then right landing both, one to the face and the other to the throat.
