Madison's POV:

A few days later, I was walking down the halls when I ran into a group of Hufflepuffs, "Hey, Madison, we made these badges for your brother, you have to take one."

"Oh cool!" I said with a smile but it quickly disappeared when I realized it transformed from 'Cedric Rules' to 'Potter Stinks', "Actually, I think I'll pass,"

I went to walk away but my arm was grabbed, "Come on, show some spirit for your brother,"

"This isn't spirit, it's bringing down a fellow classmate, I won't stand for it,"

"What an awful excuse of a Slytherin,"

I smiled, "Not all Slytherins are assholes, you guys definitely belong in Slytherin way more than I do,"

I attempted to walk away again but my arm was yanked once again, "You little bitch,"

"Let her go!"

I smiled recognizing the voice immediately, "You fucked up," I grinned.

My arm was released and I was now side by side with my brother. "I already told you, these pins are horrendous, I don't support them so quit trying to shove it down my sister's throat," Cedric led me away and I smirked to myself.

"Thanks, Ced,"

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine,"

"Okay, you can come sit with me and my friends if you'd like,"

I shook my head, "Sorry, I'm actually going to meet up with Mattheo, but I'll catch you later?"

"Sure, hey,"

I turned to face him, "Yeah?"

"What the hell happened to your face? And why is your arm bandaged? Did someone hurt you?"

I sighed, "Mattheo's older brother, Thomas did this, he thought he could scare me into staying away from Mattheo,"

"Well, maybe you should,"

I shook my head, "No, he has been there for me since I met him, he has had my back more than once already this year and I'm not going to back down from a 5th year who thinks he can control me by bullying me and hitting me."

Cedric shook his head, "You really turned into a tough woman, I'm proud of you for staying true to what you want,"

I smiled, "Thanks Ced,"

He smiled back and gave me a quick hug before I ran off to find Mattheo.

Mattheo and I met in the library to go over our Potions notes, it was well-known to everyone that Professor Snape was a terribly difficult grader so our assignments had to be perfect.

After about an hour, we walked out to the courtyard where I had found Cedric in the first place, I figured it wouldn't hurt to introduce them finally. "I don't give a damn what your father thinks, Malfoy! He's vile and cruel. And you're just pathetic." The voice came from Harry.

I rolled my eyes, "Harry and Draco are having their weekly bitchfest."

Mattheo laughed, "It appears so,"

"Pathetic?" Draco questioned pulling out his wand.

"Oh no, you don't, sonny!" Moody yelled from out of nowhere and transformed Draco into a ferret.

I gasped and looked at Mattheo who began smiling. "Oh my," I laughed.

"I'll teach you to curse someone when their back is turned! You stinking, cowardly, scummy..." Moody began as he lifted Draco and continuously sent him up and down in the air.

Students began gathering when Professor McGonagall ran over, "Professor Moody! What're you doing?"

"Teaching,"

I began laughing rather hard at this point, looking from the perspective of friends with both Harry and Draco, Draco kind of deserved it for always going after Harry. "Is that a, Is that a student?"

"Technically, it's a ferret,"

That comment made Mattheo laugh and it was the sweetest sound to my ears, I glanced up at him and he crossed his arms. Moody then sent Draco down Crabbe's pants earning laughs from multiple students including my brother who had walked over to the scene. Goyle reached down Crabbe's pants but Draco bit him making all of us laugh even harder. I leaned into Mattheo because I was laughing so hard I was nearly in tears.

When Draco made his way out of Crabbe's pant leg, McGonagall transformed him back into a human. "My father will hear about this!"

"Is that a threat?" Moody questioned and then began chasing Draco around the tree, "Is that a threat?"

"Professor Moody!" McGonagall yelled. "Professor!"

"I could tell you stories about your father that would curl even your greasy hair boy! It doesn't end here!"

"Alastor! Alastor," McGonagall started, "We never use transfiguration as a punishment! Surely Dumbledore told you that."

I shook my head and grabbed Mattheo's arm and we walked over to Cedric. "Ced!"

"Hey, Maddi,"

"Cedric, this is Mattheo Riddle, he's one of my friends, Mattheo, this is my brother, Cedric."

The two looked at each other and Mattheo stuck out his hand, "Nice to finally meet you, Madison has told me all about you,"

Cedric grinned and shook his hand, "Has she now, then you must know how much she means to me, you better not hurt her,"

"I wouldn't dream of it,"

Ced nodded and looked at me, "I like him," Mattheo smiled faintly and looked at me as well. "I'll see you guys later, I have to go prepare for the first task,"

"Good luck Ced!" I said.

"Nice meeting you,"

"You as well," Cedric replied and walked away.

I smiled at Mattheo and he smiled back. "I can't believe Malfoy got turned into a ferret," I said with a laugh.

"He deserved it," Mattheo said back with a smile. "Come on, I'm starving," He said and led me to the great hall for lunch.

Mattheo and I spent the rest of the day together exploring the castle and working on assignments together. His company was soothing and I rather enjoyed our time together, he made me laugh and I was able to watch his eyes just light up. I absolutely adore this man and every day, my feelings for him grow stronger and stronger, I just hope he feels the same way.
