November 24thMadison's POV:
Pansy and I were getting ready for the party tonight, she was looking left and right through her closet, trying to find something that would attract any guy's attention. On the other hand, I picked a simple green dress with silver flats. I put on a snake ring and a pair of emerald dangle earrings, once Pansy figured out her outfit, she pinned my hair up in an elegant bun. I stepped out of the bathroom and she gasped, "You look so pretty,"
I smiled and messed with my ring, "Thanks, now you better hurry up and get ready,"
"I will, I just have to change," Pansy said and walked into the bathroom, once she emerged I smiled.
"Pans, you look stunning," She was wearing a tight black dress that hugged her curves and was rather short. Her hair was resting on her shoulders in curls and she wore black heels. I looked down and Pansy walked over to me.
"Hey, don't do that,"
"Do what?"
She sighed and grabbed my hands, "You look just as beautiful as you think I look,"
"But I can't wear those types of dresses,"
"Yes you can, I know damn well you can, but you don't have to. You already look amazing in your flowy dresses and if one day you want to switch over, I know exactly where to get you some beautiful green dresses that will look smoking on you, okay?"
I nodded, "Thanks, maybe I'll feel more confident in myself to try and wear them next year,"
"I'm sure you will," She walked away and put her earrings in, "You have no reason to not be confident though, Maddi. You're gorgeous in every way,"
"Do you think it's because of my outfit choice that I haven't had a boyfriend or even my first kiss?"
Pansy shook her head, "Absolutely not, you haven't had a boyfriend because you have never wanted one, you're too good for boys, and besides, you almost had your first kiss."
"I know, but that's why I'm kind of overthinking, he hasn't really tried anything since, I-I don't even know how he feels about me,"
"Maddi, Mattheo adores you, I can tell he does. Just because he hasn't tried to kiss you again doesn't mean anything, okay?"
I shrugged, "I guess,"
"Why does it matter to you so much how he feels about you-" She stopped herself and it clicked in her head, "Oh hun, you have feelings for Mattheo, don't you?"
I just sat there and nodded, "But I don't think he feels the same as I do, sure he might 'adore me' but I'm sure it's just as a friend,"
Pansy shook her head, "I don't think so, but why don't we go to the party and find out? He told me he was excited to see you,"
I rolled my eyes, "No he didn't,"
"And how would you know? You weren't there," Pansy stated with a laugh and pulled me out the door. We linked arms and strolled out of the common room and to the Hufflepuff Common room. You could hear the music from three halls down, I was feeling really down tonight and I wasn't really sure why, normally I'm not like this.
Pansy and I walked into the Hufflepuff Common room and the entire room smelled of boos and grass. I glanced at Pansy and she was already smiling, "You don't have to stay with me tonight,"
She looked at me, "Oh I know, you're going to be the one leaving me for your boy toy,"
I shook my head, "I don't even think he's here,"
