Lecture

November 25th

Mattheo's POV:

I opened my eyes to a slight shaking sensation. I groaned and saw Draco attempting to wake me up. "What do you want?"

"We need to talk,"

"About?" I asked rolling over.

"About her,"

I opened my eyes again and Madison was lying next to me, I smiled at her but she was out cold. She looked so peaceful lying there.

I got up carefully not to wake her, it was a long night, she woke up twice to get sick and I got up with her. The second time she woke up she cried in my arms, she said she felt bad and it made me feel worse. I didn't want her to feel bad ever.

I followed Draco to the common room, "God what time is it?"

"7:30,"

"Jesus," I yawned, "Why're you up so early?"

"I stayed with a Ravenclaw girl last night, and I always wake up early,"

"Oh nice man, where's Theo?"

"With a girl, where else?"

I laughed faintly, "Good point,"

"Did you and Maddi?"

"No, she got drunk so I brought her back here,"

"Oh okay, you didn't do anything with her, right?"

"No of course not, I mean we kissed-"

"Excuse me, what?"

"We kissed,"

Draco shook his head, "Absolutely not, you can't date her,"

I drew my eyebrows together, "Why not?"

"We don't date in the friend group,"

"Why?"

"Because it makes things weird if y'all break up,"

"Okay, simple, I won't break up with her,"

Draco rolled his eyes, "That's not how it works,"

I shook my head, "Look I can't just tell her off, I told her how I felt about her last night, we kissed, and she likes me back, I'm not breaking her heart. You should've told me this weeks ago,"

"She was drunk, I highly doubt she'll remember last night,"

"No, I'm not taking that chance, she means a lot to me Draco, I'm not losing her just because you think I'll mess it up,"

"You will mess it up," He spoke with anger in his tone.

I stood up and stared at him, "You've got it all wrong, you would mess it up. But I'm not you,"

He didn't respond. I was upset with Draco, how could I have a night with Madison like last night and then be told to forget about it and move on? I couldn't do that to her.

I opened my dorm door and walked back in. But when I looked at my bed, it was empty. "Maddi?"

I checked in the washroom and in the closet but she was gone. I went over to her dorm room and knocked on the door, "Come in,"

I walked in and Pansy was sitting on her bed and Madison's bed was empty. "Where's Maddi?"

"She's in the washroom, she said she woke up in a dorm room and didn't know where she was or how she got there,"

"Really?"

"Yeah,"

My heart sank, "Okay,"

I walked out and heard the door open as I left, "Tao,"

I stopped and turned to look at Madison. "Hey, Maddi,"

She looked left and then right and pulled me into a kiss catching me completely off guard. I pulled away in confusion, "What's wrong?"

"So you do remember?"

She smiled at me, "Of course I do,"

I sighed with relief, "Thank Merlin," I kissed her and then pulled away once more, "Why'd you tell Pansy you didn't?"

"I don't want her to make a big deal out of it yet. Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled we had last night and I want more time with you like that, but I didn't want her to tell everyone. I just want to enjoy it before others try getting involved."

I smiled and cupped her face, "I understand, and I'm not mad, Malfoy was bugging me this morning about how I can't be with you since you're in the friend group,"

Madison rolled her eyes, "It's because he had a crush on me and got friend-zoned, so now he's mad that you made a move first,"

"Really?"

She nodded, "That and he refused to make a move because I'm a half-blood,"

I scoffed, "What a pathetic excuse, your blood status doesn't define who you are, you know that darling,"

She smiled, "I do,"

I pulled her into a hug and she sighed, "I'll keep us a secret until you tell me otherwise, okay?"

"Okay, thank you, I promise it has nothing to do with you-"

"I know sunshine, you want to keep it between us so it's special. I understand,"

She smiled, "Thank you,"

I nodded, "You're a really great kisser,"

She drew her eyebrows together, "Really?"

"Yeah, why do you ask like it's a question?"

"You were my first kiss," She stated bashfully.

I was completely shocked, "Really?"

"Yeah,"

"I almost don't believe you, you did a great job,"

She laughed lightly and so did I, her laugh is contagious and I couldn't help but feel immense joy while being near her. "Thanks, you made my first kiss incredibly memorable,"

"I'm glad,"

I heard Madison's dorm door begin to open so I kissed her hand and retreated down the stairs. I smiled to myself and then took in a deep breath. "Now what?" Malfoy hissed as I walked into the common room.

"I hope you're happy, she doesn't remember a thing,"

He raised his eyebrows and smirked, "Good, now stay away from her,"

I walked to my dorm to get ready for the day and smiled to myself once again, I finally got my girl.
