☞︎ . "Not get with your best friend." He answered truthfully, with no types of regrets at all. Sierra was shocked but wasn't at the same time, she and Notti did like each other way before Laila was even in the picture. One thing she never understood was why he had suddenly ghosted her during the school year. That was still her question to this day but she chose not to ask it. "Why?"
"Cause I'd rather be with you instead, ion like her like I used to. It's like the little spark we had was there for like 2 months then it went away." He admitted, that if the spark went away in 2 months then why still be with the girl is what she wanted to ask real bad however she didn't wanna know the answer.
The thing that stuck out to her the most was him wanting to be with her.. she doesn't understand why though. Why choose the other best friend? Why say these things now when he's with her best friend? The only person that does know is himself.. Ethan Reyes.
"Well, we can't be together." He examined her face slowly going down to read her body language. Notti is very much a pro at reading females now— everyone around him whether he knows them or not.
By her body language and her facial expressions, he could tell that there are reasons behind why and he's gonna get to the bottom of it. "Why not?"
"Because you are with my best friend, I don't like you anymore and because I can't trust you.." she mumbled the last part but he heard it, loud and clear. He sighed not believing any of the reasons she just named, the first one was most definitely a lie because they both knew that they could get together without Laila knowing.
The second reason is one of the biggest lies he has ever heard from her, Sierra knew she couldn't lie to Notti but did it anyway— he is one person who could read her like a picture book for sure.
The last reason he isn't so sure about but it was most definitely a lie and he wants to know why she can't ' trust ' him.
"Ion know why you just sat up here and lied like I don't know you, Sierra." He stared watching as she sunk into the couch a little out of embarrassment. "Now why you can't trust me?" He asked, she kept her eyes on her lap not making eye contact with him like he wanted to. Sierra thought about whether she wanted to lie or not, she went with the none lying since she knew that he could tell when she was.
"I- I don't know. It's just when you ghosted me I lost all trust for you.. ok, maybe not all." She giggled a little at the end of her sentence, Notti watched her closely the whole time making sure she was telling the truth which she was. He was kind of hoping that she forgot all about the ghosting thing.
He didn't wanna ghost her.. but he did it anyway— he felt like she was too perfect for him at the time, he still kind of feels the same way except it's just different. He ghosted her at the beginning of October.
At that time they were in their little talking stage, everyone knew that they were together but not together— females were always trying to get with Notti but he would ignore or reject hella hard just for Sierra.
He didn't wanna let her go, she was always there making him happy, he wasn't Notti when she was around he was always Ethan. That's what he liked about her the most she kept him happy and not angry selfish Notti.
She would always keep him from being stressed, help him with school work, went to family events with him, and keep him grinning all the time, his mind was always positive just because of her.
The things he loved about her that made her perfect were just her in general. She wasn't like none of the girls he went to school or fucked with.
She kept her grades up, played volleyball, loved to draw, kept him laughing, taught him new things he never knew about, talked to him differently from others, kept her hair done, dressed well and his overall favorite was smelling good. Smelling good is always one of his big turn ons for sure.
That right there is why he ghosted her... just cause she was too perfect for him and to him. "Baby you can trust me, I ain't mean to ghost you like that for real. It's just I ain't wanna ruin someone as perfect as you. You feel me," Sierra nodded her head not knowing what he meant by her being perfect, she didn't think she was perfect. Everyone isn't perfect, they can be in their ways.
For the rest of the night the two just talked more about why he did what he did and other things that they missed in each other's lives— along with more shit. Once Notti left around 11, Sierra thought back to them talking.
She really did miss the conversations they had together she kept telling herself that she can't catch feelings for him again.. or did the feelings for him ever leave??
