The boys were currently at school, sitting together at the cafeteria except Jisung. Minho had told him to stay home to sleep for as long as he could, without alarms so he wouldn't wake up. Jisung at first refused which made Minho ignore him for at least an hour but in the end agreed, accepting that Minho just wanted him to be okay. It was for his sake after all.
Minho was sitting beside Chan and Jeongin, eating his lunch peacefully while listening to the other's conversations and sometimes loud laughs. Jeongin and Hyunjin were having a staring contest while Seungmin was recording them and Felix was chatting with Changbin about music. Chan was watching them with a smile as if he was their father, probably because he was the oldest.
He then turned to Minho who was playing with his food with the fork at the moment and nudged him with his elbow "Bored because Jisung's absence?" he wiggled his brows at him and the latter shook his head "No, I'm not bored, hyung. I'm just thinking about something and it has been in my mind for a while now" he put the fork down and Chan tilted his head
"What is it? If you don't mind me asking"
Minho turned his body a little bit towards Chan and hummed "Well. Jisung had made a very sweet song for me and I just want to make one for him as well. His birthday is also close so that would be a great gift but I wanted to write more songs to make a mini album for him but I've only gotten like 2 songs done. And he helped me writing one of them" he smiled at the memory of them sitting side by side while thinking of lyrics.
"Plus I'm not really great at producing songs, I've only tried once and that was with my dad's help.. Hyung could you help-"
Before he was able to finish the sentence, Chan had already agreed giving his one of his friendliest smiles as he nodded his head "Of course I'll help you! I love creating music and since it's about something special we will put extra effort for that. We've helped the others with music before, like Changbin has helped Felix and Hyunjin, and Jisung Seungmin. Innie hasn't asked for help yet but I'm pretty sure he's written a few songs himself"
Minho made an 'o' shape with his mouth and nodded his head, thanking the older boy "Can both of you help me then? But I don't want Jisung to know, what if he asks to come by and work on a song while I'm with you?" he scratched his neck and Chan waved it off "Don't worry about that, he won't notice a single thing. He's a smart kid but sometimes his brain is not working"
An idea then suddenly came to Minho's mind and felt excited "Chan hyung, I have an idea" the other hummed as a sigh for him to go on "What if we make the mini album where only I sing and a cd with a single song all of us singing? Is that too much work?"
Chan thought about it and it would indeed take a while and a lot of work but he would do anything for his friends (like the best person he is and he deserves all the hugs) so he wouldn't mind "That's a great idea, Minho" the two boys exchanged a smile and then turned to the other boys, grabbing their attention.
"Hey guys, Minho here had this very cool idea for Jisung's upcoming birthday"
After explaining, the whole group was mostly excited for the recording and the songs in general. Jisung had been one of the best friends they could ask for, always there for them. They wanted to do something special for him and Minho's idea was perfect. They were sure Jisung would love it.
