book 5 continues with the female lead attempting suicide, thats why she fell into the water. history between her and tao reveals that he was her childhood bully. he pushed her and she fell of a bridge when they were children in a small town, and thats where all the phobias began. it was in the papers and everything. her brothers knew about this and thats why they were weird around tao. it ends with tao relentlessly making up for what he did and admitting that hes scared of a lot of things too (like the pet spider) because he had a terrible accident involving falling in a centipede pit. they make amends, fall in love, yada yada yada.

kyungsoo's female lead is the sorority leader from book 5. she's smart but academically lazy, sarcastic, impulsive, everything opposite of kyungsoo. whenever she gets in trouble, hes always somehow forced to rescue her even if shes a lot capable of doing it by herself, like a wolf dressed as a lamb. this becomes a cycle until kyungsoo finds himself doing it because he LIKES it.

chen has become an empty shell since the breakup with his ex. fucking around, no serious relationships. like his spirit has ultimately died with the relationship. said ex comes back and takes a medical degree in their college and SHE pursues him this time. chen is confused bc she said she didnt love him anymore, but its revealed that she had been hiding a heart condition and had accepted she will die back when they were dating. she didnt want him to mourn. during the time of not seeing each other, girl receives good news of a heart transplant and as soon as she got healthy again, she transferred to chen's university. u get the rest.

suho's demanding parents were the reason of the fallout between the groups. kris's mom who is dead, is suho's dad's ex, and surprise surprise, suho and him are half brothers. suho was the star child: compliant, a good student, never raises his voice, while kris was the opposite. the latter eventually got tired of this life and suho tried to convince him to just endure until he gets his inheritance, but they fight about this and it was a whole thing, what with kris being illegitimate and all. kris declared that suho isnt a real sibling and it spreads to their friendship and the people in the group, hence the split. both are heartbroken like losing a family member for real, but their pride gets the best of them.

suho's parents forces him into a marriage he doesnt want, a fellow university student, and despite his quiet protest, this girl somehow brings out the softy in him. he turns calmer, lighter. like with everything he endures, this girl makes him feel like he can breathe at last and that it wouldnt kill him to relax every once in a while. suho thinks his parents have finally done something right.

chanyeol's gf comes back to korea to continue her studies, and she comes with an exchange art student. student, a girl, is korean too but grew up in a foreign country. kris thinks shes a rich, snobby, stuck up but the group goes out to drink one night and kris brings this girl home to do things with. he wakes up naked with her staring at him, sketching at paper, and she proposes he becomes the model for her human interest project. he agrees, and him being naked becomes a regular thing. between this, she somehow convinces her to try and confront his father. father finally apologizes to him and suho and all is sunshine and rainbows bc of the art girl. they also fall in love etc

baekhyun attends a family party and meets someone there who playfully claims to be his wife. this girl attends the same university and turns out to be his childhood family friend. when they were kids, he was smitten with her and really did try to get her hand in marriage at the age of 6. baekhyun moved to the city sometime later and forgot all about her, but she has that memory ingrained in her brain. she hangs around their friend group and everybody likes her, but baekhyun avoids her at all costs bc he thinks shes annoying. she eventually wears him down and he starts getting to know her, finds out why shes so likeable among his friends. u know how it ends

luhan is obviously charming but hes a dumbass. his bestfriend is in love with him this whole time, but he starts fucking around in college (typical fuckboy things) and sees said best friend as nothing but that. she begins trying to move on as it has been years and luhan still hasnt noticed (she never told him either) even tho its VERY VERY obvious and all their friends think so. girl dates another person from another university, a far cry from who luhan is: quiet, bookish, someone who generally avoids fraternities altogether. and then luhan begins getting jealous for some reason (and we all know why that is) bc surprise, hes been in love with her too. but again, hes a dumbass so the whole book revolves around that

kris's girlfriend, being the art person she is, knows a lot of university students who will model in the nude for free. her projects include a lot of bodies, but never faces (kris was an exception) to keep the subject's identities. sehun does the exact same thing, but in the form of photography. one night, he comes home with a really gorgeous, sexy stranger. they dont do anything except she poses, and he takes her pictures, and they forget each other after that. kris's gf holds an art exhibit to showcase the anonymous drawings to rich collectors. everyone attends in support and sehun and the stranger see each other again. he soon realizes that the stranger is one of the drawing models, and somehow between anonymity and interest, they become friends with benefits. he claims he doesnt want a relationship (bc he didnt want to be like his parents, once in love but separated) and then shit hits the fan when he realizes he wanted to keep the stranger's photos to himself. no showcasing, just his.
