It had been 3 weeks since the attack on the Edge and preparations for the invasion of Titan isles were complete.
Stoick had brought the Berkian fleet as well as the A-team and Mala and Heather had brought over troops from Berserker Island and Defender of the wings Island.
You and Stormstriker were making taking your usual morning round of the Edge, the day after tomorrow was the day of the invasion, where you would hopefully get back Gustav, Throk, Fanghook and the Eruptodon Mother.
You completed your round and landed on a nearby sea stack. You dismounted Storm and petted her, scratching her chin and head. She growled in bliss and lay down and you sat down next to her and used her body to lean on. You had some salmon with you which you gave her to eat. You two stayed there for about an hour resting.
You were about to head to the clubhouse when you heard the flapping of wings. It was Fishlegs. He was riding Meatlug and landed next to you. He looked at you and said "Hey Axel, do you mind helping me with a few things?" You replied "Sure Fishlegs, what do you need?" He replied "Well I wanted to go over the details of the fight of the Screaming Death against the massive Scauldron one last time".
You moaned in annoyance. Ever since the battle Fishlegs had been constantly asking me and Hiccup about the Screaming Death, he thought that something was wrong with the dragon even after we had assured him nothing was wrong. You said "For the last time Fishlegs, there was nothing wrong".
Fishlegs replied "The Screaming Death would never surrender from a fight, even if the threat was as big as that Scauldron. That dragon is known to be extremely territorial."
You moaned again but then had an idea. You said "How about we go to Death Island and you can see for yourself?" Fishlegs instantly went pale and you thought this would deter him from asking any further but to your surprise he inhaled deeply and said "If it means I can make sure the Screaming Death is alright than okay".
You were star struck. Of all the people Fishlegs was not the one you expected to be ready to go to Death Island at a moment's notice. You said "Well let's go ask Hiccup whether we can go because this excursion will take us all day as well as night."
Fishlegs mounted Meatlug and you Stormstriker. Then Fishlegs said "Let's go than".
4 HOURS LATER
You and Fishlegs were on a sea stack which was right next to Death Island. You and Fishlegs had spent about half an hour convincing the others and then the rest of the time getting here. You could tell Fishlegs was trying not to panic and were really impressed. He usually wasn't this brave. If he was brave enough to check up on the Screaming Death than something must really be off about the dragon.
The sun had already reached its climax at the top of the sky but the cool wind breezes still made you shiver slightly. There were no clouds so sunlight was shining directly on the island and you could see the many Whispering Death holes in the ground as well as several larger ones.
Next to you Fishlegs was trying to calm Meatlug as she was acting weird, maybe because of the close proximity to the Screaming Death. Storm also growled uncomfortably so you patted her neck. You than asked Fishlegs "So what are the things required to make sure that the Screaming Death is nice and healthy?" Fishlegs took out a small notebook from one of his pockets, took a look at one of its pages, put it back and finally replied "We need several things, Firstly I need to check his eye colour and the size of his pupils. Next I need his new body length and size to make both check the increase in size and whether he is the correct body size and height. Finally I need to check some of his teeth; one should be fine and a small amount of his saliva to check whether he had drunken anything toxic or deathly. That should be all".
