"......Where am I?" Kanae asked herself. She looked around the surroundings, however it was dimly lit, so she couldn't see anything.
Kanae tried to use her ability, but she couldn't activate it. "Damn it. (やばい。)"
"Awoken already? (もう起きたの？)" A voice pierce through the room.
"Who is it? Come out! (誰？出て！)" Kanae said. She tried finding where the voice came from.
There was silence. Kanae continued to stay alert. 'Wait...why do I feel so sleepy all of the sudden?......' Kanae thought before starting to fall asleep again.

Dazai left the communication room. He just found out what Doctor Sleep's ability is. As his name would have hinted, Doctor Sleep has the ability to make people go unconscious, like going to sleep.
He tried to reach Kanae, but she didn't respond. 'Kanae's in trouble.' He thought as he raced to the warehouse entrance. His thought was correct when he saw nothing but complete darkness inside the warehouse.
Dazai went inside the warehouse after deciding that it was the best course of action.
The warehouse was completely dark, but no darker than Dazai's soul.
Just then, the lights turned on and shone only at Kanae. She was sitting sleeping on the chair with her hands tied to the back.
"Welcome, Dazai Osamu," Doctor Sleep appeared behind Dazai. "I have your girlfriend."
Dazai: You are Doctor Sleep.
Doctor Sleep: Yes! I am the legendary Doctor Sleep!
Dazai: Ahhh!! You're that legendary Doctor Sleep!
Doctor Sleep: Even if you say that, I wouldn't go easy on you.
Dazai: Likewise.
It sounds as if Dazai had no plans to rescue Kanae and defeat Doctor Sleep, however Dazai is just playing with him.
"You think I came without being prepared," Doctor Sleep said and several men came out.
Dazai wasn't shocked at all. His face didn't betray any emotion. He sighed.
"Get him," Doctor Sleep ordered and his subordinates tried to use their abilities at Dazai.
Since the warehouse was dark, they all wore night vision goggles. Dazai turned on a torch that he picked up from somewhere and shone it towards the men. Instantly, they were all blinded by the light from the torch.
This gave time for Dazai to swiftly appear behind Doctor Sleep and tapped his shoulder.
Since Dazai nullified Doctor Sleep's ability, Kanae woke up from her slumber.
"Out of everything you could have chosen, you choose to wake me up from a nightmare!" Kanae exclaimed as she freed her hands. "I was having a good time in the nightmare!"
Kanae then used her ability to light up the room and made the torch dark. "Much better."
Doctor Sleep's subordinates were captured by Dazai, while Doctor Sleep himself fled the warehouse.
Dazai and Kanae took separate cars. Dazai was heading back to the Mafia's HQ while Kanae was heading back home.
