"You're late," Dazai said to Kanae as he watched her walk towards him.

Kanae: The port is too big, it's not easy finding you.

Dazai: I've told you where I'll be waiting for you.

Kanae: That doesn't make it easier.

Dazai: You really do love wearing the most extravagant hats, do you?

Kanae: Why not, I like it.

Kanae wore a top hat this time

Dazai: I've looked up on the web for more information

Dazai: I've looked up on the web for more information. There's an executive in The Shining called Doctor Sleep.

Kanae: Any information on his or her ability?

Dazai: None. I've found another warehouse where The Shining uses.

Kanae: Is it near this port?

Dazai: It's opposite us.

Kanae turned and looked at the warehouse. "Isn't that one of the Mafia's old warehouses?" She asked.

Dazai nodded. They both cautiously went inside the warehouse. To their surprise, there was no one inside. There were only piles of boxes stacked up all over the place.

Dazai and Kanae started to open up the boxes and see what it contained. Most of them were replicas of artefacts and weapons like rifles, machine guns, bullets etc.

Dazai opened up a box that contained a big air tight container with a label at the side of it. Not knowing how to read the label, he called Kanae "Arisu, do you know how to read this label? It has a weird shape, a hexagon and some lines poking out of it."

The Label:

The Label:

"Coniine. Better stay away from it, it's poisonous," Kanae said and pulled Dazai away from the box after closing it.

Dazai: What does it do?

Kanae: Central nervous system depression, respiratory failure, acute renal failure, and eventually death.

Dazai: Seems like a painful way to die, I won't be ingesting it.

Kanae: You really are suicidal like Chuya mentioned. Next time I should just give you zolpidem and lock you in a room with a gas pipe leak.

Dazai: What's zolpidem?

Kanae: Sleeping medicine. That way, you can die without feeling pain.

Dazai: Really?!! Thank you!

The investigation was just filled with Dazai happily saying how he can die easily.

"Can you please stop it. It's getting annoying," Kanae said after checking the last box.

"How can I not be excited by the idea that I can die in a painless way," Dazai replied to Kanae's complaint.

Kanae just shook her head and sighed at Dazai's response.

They left the warehouse, not finding any useful clues.

"You seem to know a lot about poisons back there, where did you learn all that?" Dazai asked.

Kanae didn't reply. They continued walking.

Dazai: Where are you going now?

Kanae: Jabberwocky, a tea house.

Dazai: Why are you going there?

Kanae: It's time for tea!!

Dazai: At this time? We haven't even caught The Shining yet.

Kanae: But it's tea time! You should come with me, it's boring having tea all by myself.

Kanae dragged Dazai to Jabberwocky before Dazai could even say a word.

Once they arrived, the waitress greeted both of them and led them into a private room.

Inside of the room, contained a huge rectangular table with 4 chairs on each side and 1 chair on each end of the table. The room is black and white in colour. The floor and ceiling are covered in chess boards patterns, with some chess pieces hanging down from or glued onto the ceiling.

"Do you come here often?" Dazai asked.

"Sometimes, not as often as I used to," Kanae replied.

Kanae and Dazai just sat opposite each other on the ends of the table. Both holding up the menu and reading it silently. It was very awkward.

Kanae: Have you decided what to order?

Dazai: I'm not a tea person, I'm not sure what to order. You can decide for me.

Kanae: That's fine.

Kanae rang the bell and the waitress came in. The waitress took Kanae's order and left.

The room was silent again.

Kanae: Where should we go after this?

Dazai: Maybe patrol the alleyway, who knows what will turn up.

Kanae: Ok.

Dazai: Why are we sitting in a room by ourselves?

Kanae: The tea house only has rooms for guests. Each group of guests gets 1 room. I mean you don't want anyone to overhear your conversations after all.

Dazai: That's true. How do you read the sign of the tea house?

The sign:

Kanae: It's read as Jabberwocky

Kanae: It's read as Jabberwocky. The spelling is inverted.

Dazai: This certainly looks like a mad sign.

Soon the food and tea arrived.
