Season 2, Episode 1

Athena's POV, Flashback

"Athena!" I could hear Jethro yell as I ran over to him in tears with AK nestled in my arms, "Jethro, I thought he would never let us go."  Jethro teared up and kissed me on the lips as he held AK, "What did he want from you?" I shakily sighed, "Cousin bonding . He swore not to hurt us, but I couldn't trust him." Jethro hugged me, "Thank god, you're both okay."

-Now-

I woke up in a panic, running to AK's room. I could hear Jethro ask what was wrong as he woke up groggily. I sighed in relief as Jethro came running in, "What's wrong?" I watched AK sleep, "Nightmare." Jethro kissed my head, "I'm sorry. Let's get back to bed before heading into the office, you are not leaving my sight again." 

Jethro finally managed to get me back in bed and cuddled me until I fell asleep once more, hopefully without the nightmares of my cousin killing my son and husband that has haunted me for three months.

I walked into NCIS with Jethro's hand on my back and scrunched up my nose at the heat. Jethro ran off to get some water for AK and me. I watched as Tony slammed down a fan. "Anyone? And I mean does anyone know when the air conditioner's getting fixed? Huh!? What about the name of the genius who invented windows that don't open?! What are we on?! A spaceship!? Windows should open!" Seven-month-old Anthony Kaden Gibbs was giggling at his Uncle Tony as I watched with a smile as Tony took off his shirt to reveal a gray tank top that was showing sweat stains.

"What are you giggling at little man!?" Tony asked AK while smiling, "Am I funny to you?" AK giggled and started babbling at Tony. I smiled at both of them and grinned widely when my six brothers walked out of the elevator. I told them not to come, but they were stubborn. Basil, the youngest, came running full speed as AK and me, "The most precious thing in the world has blessed my eyes! I need one just like him! Athena! You and Jethro make another!" 

Ares and Adonis rolled their eyes with a smile while Perseus and Jason looked around. Anax watched Cait as she walked towards Tony, "Oh my Gods, I hope they're not dating. She's perfection and he's a worm." I giggled as AK reached out for Anax and Anax smiled kissing AK's head, "Don't worry, I'll sweep her off her feet, but we are going to go sightseeing. Love you, sis!" My siblings walked back to the elevator and waved me goodbye. 

Cait screamed and I snapped my head over to see that McGee was messing with her computer. "McGee you have two seconds to tell me what you're doing down there," Cait said looking down at him. McGee sounded panicked, "I'm upgrading the computer network, and, uh...." I rolled my eyes as Cait sneered, "Time's up." McGee was stood up by Cait's fingers pinching his ears, "I wasn't looking, I swear!" 

I tickled AK's stomach, hearing him giggle as Jethro came into the bullpen and smiled at us, quickly walking to give us the water he grabbed, only to stop, "Tony." Tony looked at us, "Yes, sir?" Jethro kissed AK's forehead, "Did I just see what I thought I saw?" Tony nodded, "Out of respect for my coworkers, Boss. I'd have to say yes, you did, and, uh, it's very disturbing." Jethro kissed my cheek and sat beside me, "I agree. Put your damn shirt back on. This is a federal office building, not a gym. Besides, my wife and son are here. Damn it, McGee, why are you still here?!" 

I snickered at Jethro's crankiness and McGee stuttered, "The contractors. They won't wire the network until the air-conditioning's fixed. It's a union thing, so..." Jethro glared at him, "So you decided it's more important for an NCIS Special Agent to crawl around all day by yourself?" Tony put his shirt back on and tried to look tough, "Man asked you a question." McGee looked nervous, "Well, no. I wanted it fixed before I returned to Norfolk."
