Chapter 4

"Clink, Clink, Clink." I looked at my other direction and saw a certain creature. Humm, I guess  today I'm not the only one who is feeling energetic. Rebecca herself seems like she can't wait to act on the play written for her. Yup today we are both girls with dignity, respect, self control, high self esteem, I can go on forever! Today I'm a girl full of hope and happiness and no one gonna ruin to for me. I'm waiting for what today brings.

"Well, well well looked at what the cat dragged in." She claimed sarcastically while putting her hands up in the air as she and her noisy heels walks up to me. "And if it isn't maleficent's evil shadow." "Heads up something evil and wicked is walking towards us." "Rebecca don't say such things." "Hey, we all were thinking it." And no. She was not right. I was thinking wayy worse.

"Ladies." And ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce my arch enemy the devil's shadow Kate.

"Kate." I said giving her a evil half smile folding my hands. Rebecca on the other hand didn't greet nor smile. My eyes narrowed back to Kate who laughed a little. You know that corny laugh that people give you when they feel like there going to win a spit battle? Well that's the one she just did. "Confident much?" "Well your such a good influence, how can I not?" I rolled my eyes at the poor animal. Animal? No what is their sin? I can never Insult a flesh eating creature in such a way by comparing them to her. I know what you must be thinking, why do I hate her so much? I don't hate her ? Matter fact I can never hate anyone. She just really ruined my life in so many ways. You'll find out sooner or later but as for now? Let's just see, trust me you'll understand how wicked she is along the way.

"Now if you ask me, I think that we should put our differences aside and became friends don't you think?" She said with her southern little accent. "Mmm, let's let destiny deiced that." I argued while pressing the elevator button. She walks closer to me nodding her head in awe of agreement. What is this girl trying to proof?

"All I'm trying to say is that since we are co workers, we shouldn't you know rebel against each other." "Well you know what's funny? We were co workers for quite a time yet you never had such an opinion." "Well people change." "And that should fit you perfectly" "Why are you bringing up the past?" "Listen Kate, I want you to stay in your limits and move away from me. "And may I ask why is that?" "Sweet heart have some common sense and grow up, nobody wants a devilish child near them" From the look on her face she felt tight, she started to say something but then she stopped.

"What's the matter cat got your tongue?" Rebecca added as she laughs. "Let's go Reb." The elevator door opened and we both left her there shocked.  "Well that was interesting?" Rebecca says while drinking water. "What her act? I'm surprised you haven't got used to it." "Well I don't pay mind to her." "Yeah well I don't have the capabilities you posses."

"Wow! Look at this office!" Said Rebecca as she observed the room slowly "Right? It's huge." "I call dibs on this chair." She runs and sit's on a beautiful soft material looking chair. "Well I call dibs on this one." I choose a ugly looking one but guess what? It's very conformable and that's all I need for my behind.

*Knock*

"Come in!" Rebecca shouted as she drinks her coffee. "Amanda!" I yell out of excitement. Please let me introduce who this girl is. She's Mr. Malak's younger sister. She's loving, caring, compassionate and understanding. You know what? Now that I think about it, maybe I am starting to doubt genetic genes. Maybe their not related. She's just way to wonderful and his prideful.

"Good Morning." She walks up to my desk giving me a bunch of notes. "What are these for?" Rebecca walks up my desk going through some of them. "These are information that I have printed out to help you get a idea of how to go on air. Which reminds me, you were amazing last night!." "Ohh no I think your mistaken. Let me correct you, my boo killed it last night" Rebecca said giving me a high five. "You do realize that your the hot new topic going on around the office right?" Continued Amanda as she takes a sit. "How? do people actually watch night news?" "Of course." Shirked Rebecca as she shoves a granola bar in her mouth. "You should read the notes. My bro's going to be really impressed." "Ugh, Amanda why do you always have to bring him up?" "Whoa whoa whoa, just so you know, he couldn't stop talking about you last night." "What?!" Rebecca got caught up in her comment. She sat down and looked at Amanda asking for more while chewing the granola bar quickly. Her face was contained with so much excitement and curiosity. Me? You wanna know how I feel? Disgusting that's for sure. Ew "Relax i'm just joking." She said as she laugh's at Rebecca's face. Rebecca's one of those girls who lovess to talk about boys. The topic I hate soo much. "Ugh, you play too much Amanda." She wined as she gave Amanda a playful punch. Okay I gotta admit, this is getting way too girly. I don't like this.

"Well I better get going. The Freedman case is really getting tough." "Oh yeah did Mr. Malak allow you guys to take the interview?" I questioned "No, he said that he wants you to work on it." "Me? But how? I'm in a new job position." "And that's where it get's complicated. Mr. Freedman argued that he wouldn't allow any one else to take an interview with him. Only you." "Uhhh? I don't understand." "It's simple, since he called you over the phone he wants you to fulfill the task. He created a conflict upon Kate over the phone. So now my brother wants you to do the interview but on air." "Well this is getting interesting." Said Rebecca while smirking. "What? He just wants an interview" I said questioning her "I'm not talking about him Miss slow poke. I'm talking about Mr. Malak." "What about him?" "We all know that he never makes excuses for anyone. It's either you take it or the door's open. And now his making it easier for you." " Rebecca your too much." I said rolling my eyes as I took the notes away from her. "Maybe she's right." Amanda joined. "Oh please not you too. You know what please let's just get to work."

A few hours later.

I finally took a break from all that hard work. I got to admit, It felt good to finally finish my project based on Mr. Freedman's life even though it was interesting and attention pulling. I stretched my body and drank some water. I had this feeling that someone was staring at me, I look over Rebecca's desk and saw her smiling and waving. Now I know for sure that she's diffidently going to say something annoying.  "I almost forgot to ask how was your car date with Mr. Malak?"

*Cough* And yes I just coughed leading Rebecca to laugh. I chocked on my coffee so hard I thought I was going to die. Before I could insult her someone cut me off by knocking on the door. We both looked up and saw Mr. Malak on the camera monitor. I looked at her and saw her evil smirk. She chuckled doing that old habit of hers. Putting her eye brows up and down."Well what a surprise, your mann is here" She whispers as she hurry's hiding under her desk making it seem as if I was talking to myself. "What?" This girl has got to be kidding me! The door knocks again. "Come in." He opened the door glancing at me. I guess his pride's back.

"You talking to yourself?"
