Khalid's POV
"Hey how are you feeling?" I said as I walked in the room. "Honestly, I've been better. But I can't complain. What about you?" "Same here too." "
"So now I'm guessing you don't need the stroller no more." She said as she slowly sits on the bed giving me a half away smile.
"Yeah, doc suggests that I walk little by little, instead of just sitting down all day." "I don't blame him." "Right."
I slowly sit down on the chair folding my hands to my chest. I looked at Jannah's face which seems to be debating. For some reason she looked as if she wanted to say something to me but she kept holding herself back. Her grey eyes finally touch mines and she stopped narrowing them around the room. I gave her a smile and she returned it. Come on Jannah break the silence...
"Soo..." I looked at her as she tries to get up of the bed sitting next to me. I turn my head and stared at her, "Soo?" I questioned putting my head towards her direction.
She chuckles and finally continues. "I just wanted to thank you Khalid." "Thank me?" "Yeah. If it wasn't for you and Allah of course, I wouldn't be here. Thank you for saving me."
"Oh come on Jannah. You would have done the same for me too." "Ehhh..." She says as she turns her head around smiling half away showing her teeth. I couldn't help myself but laugh at her face expression as she tried to avoid my gaze.
"So you wouldn't?" I said as I leaned back on the chair continuing to stare at her beautiful soft face. "Well... Let's just hope that Allah never puts you in the station." She said giving me a deep evil glare.
I smile once again smirking. "But if he does?" "I don't know. Maybe." "You wanna know what I think?" "What?" "You diffidently would." "Really?" "Yeah, I mean you do have a big heart."
"Well then thank you sir." "Whatever." I said teasing her.
A moment of silence broke loose as we both stared at the ceiling. I felt the corner of her eyes staring at me as she smiled. "You checking me out?" "What? No." She said as she quickly looks away gazing at her lap.
I put my hands through my hair rubbing it slowly like I usually do. "Well. I gotta get going. I'll see you later." I said as I got up." "Leaving so soon?" "Yeah. I gotta go pry." "Oh. Alright. Thanks for the visit." "Yeah, no problem."
I opened the door and turned around. Aha! I finally catch her gaze upon me. But this time she didn't she try to hide it, she smiled and waved proudly. "See you later Khalid." I wave back returning the smile as I closed the door behind me.....
