Strangers POV
"Did you hear about the girl who was found yesterday?" I looked directly onto the floor as I listen to the conversation my co- workers were involved in as I sweep the floor. "Who? The Muslim girl." My eyes narrowed up as I examine their words."
"Yeah. Talk about a survival story." "I'd have to say, she's very lucky that she made it out alive. Most people would be found dead." "I think he was planning on killing her." "Well then that makes the two of us."
"Actually I haven't seen the news." I jumped in leaning the broom against the wall as I walk towards them. "Really?" I nod my head taking a sit besides them. "Well here. It's even on my phone." She reached out her hand and placed it on my hand
I took the phone and started to read it slowly as it grabbed my attention...
"BREAKING NEWS! Muslim News Reporter finally found after two weeks of being held captive by one of the rebel enemy's from the business. She was found yesterday at an old abandoned broken down house in 93 Kihaldnd St West, Walfrnut along with Khalid Malak.
Doctors claim that she was in a critical condition but now results are bringing in high hopes. Khalid Malak - the hero who saved and rescued her is now charged with a minor spine fraction which is leading investigators to wonder how it happened and how can they use it in court against the kidnaper?
Mr. Adam Malak stated that this Friday evening, both Jannah which is the victim and Khalid will go on air giving their statement on FFJN news channel. You can also visit their deportment to speak to them live if you'd like. For more information visit...."
Where have I heard that name before? Jannah. I know that name, it sounds very familiar but why isn't the name attacking me? Jannah... Jannah...Jannah...
I suddenly came back to my senses when the phone's alarm went on. "Oh yeah here's your phone. Thanks" I said as I gave her back her phone. She nods with a smile and I go back to sweeping the floor as I think about who Jannah is.
I know one person who can help me. Bryan. I slowly walk out of the room in hope of not being caught. I walked in the hallway looking for a room to stay in as I give a friend a call.
"Janitor's Closet."
I walk in closing the door behind me and took my phone out dialing Bryan's number patiently waiting until he picks up the phone.
...............
"Hello?"
"Baryon?"
"The one and only. What's up?"
"Listen do you remember any girl named Jannah?""Jannah? Hmm let me see. Jannah... Jannah.... Oh yeah!"
"What?"
"She's the girl from our old internship you remember. That girl you know." He started blabbering in his tone.
"You're such an idiot. How many girls do we know from the internship? And speak up, I can barely hear you."
"Excuse me but I do believe that you're the one in need of information, so you better be nice bro."
"Just give me more details."
"That girl."
"I can't hear you. Stop whispering."
"I can't! I'm in public. I can't say that out loud bro."
"Okay. Listen I don't have time but can you give me a few more details?"
"Remember Jannah not Hannah. The promise you made."
I stopped for a moment as my eyes narrowed around the room.
"Jannah not Hannah? Ooh that's her?"
"Yeah."
"Wow I can't believe that I didn't recognized her name."
"Yeah well you two go way back. But why are you asking about her all of the sudden?"
"I'll explain it to you later. I gotta go."
Before letting him respond I hanged of the phone staring at my phone screen which has Jannah's picture on it. I guess that it's time to visit an old friend and finish what we started. It's time to erase the "I HATE YOU" moments we molded together... I took the ring she gave me years ago and put it on... This Friday... A smirk appeared on my face....
Assalamalkuim! So I decided to make this POV an anonymous person lol. But don't worry you'll find out who he is later Insallah.k What do you think so far lol?
