Kanao flopped onto her bed and clicked her phone, trying to find relaxing music to listen at night. It was bedtime. And yeah, Tanjiro's face was still in her mind. She shook her head.
That bastard has cruelly cheated on me.
A soft knock on her door distracted her. "Hai?" She called.
"Kanao-san?" Her step-father's voice said excitedly. "You won't believe this!!" Kanao got curious.
"Nani?" She asked. He smiled and said, "Look at this picture." He held up his phone and showed Kanao a picture that made her jaw drop.
Tanjiro Kamado.
"Wow," She murmured. "Where'd you get that?" Her step-father ignored her.
"THIS IS GOING TO BE YOUR FIANCÉ!"
"Wait, what?!" Kanao asked, confused. "He-"
"Is your future husband!" He interrupted rudely.
"But I just broke up with him 2 days ago! I can't! What do you mean? Why him? Could be anyone! Just not him! Please!" Kanao begged.
"No! His family is so rich! We will need them!" He shouted. "Don't let your emotions take control!"
"My emotions...?" Kanao looked straight into her father's eyes. "You wanna talk about my emotions?" Rage appeared in her eyes but faded away quickly. "Never mind. I don't care. BUT. BUT. I am never marrying him!"
Her step-father lifted his chin and thought for a moment. "Fine. Just for now. BUT you will marry him eventually. I will give you some time to think, I guess." He rolled his eyes and left Kanao's room.
Kanao groaned.

After a bit, Kanao thought her step-father already forgot about the whole thing, which she was very glad about. He is attending a party and told Kanao to wear a gorgeous white dress on the day. She looked into the mirror and nodded. Kanao stepped outside of her house and found her step-father in a black suit. What in the world? It's just a party!After Kanao arrived later, she found herself standing in a courtyard, which was pretty normal. But what was NOT normal was that there was white flowers everywhere and it looked like...
Suddenly, Kanao saw a boy wearing a suit with red hair and a scar on his head stepping into the courtyard. She blinked and realized who it was- Tanjiro Kamado.
WHAT THE HECK IS HE DOING HERE! Kanao thought, not knowing what to do. WHY, WHY, WHY!!!
After a bit of thinking, Kanao hid behind a tree and spied on Tanjiro. Oh! His dad, Tanjuro? Why are they invited to this party? OR BETTER YET, What even is this party for?? The bad feeling raised up in Kanao's chest.
"Uh, what is this for?" She asked her step-father. "Why is Tanjiro here?"
He smiled. "Remember? He is your fiancé! This is an engagement!"
Kanao stepped back with a mix of anger, sadness and betrayal. "How could you?! I told you to not!" He shrugged. "well, I did give you some time to think. You didn't even tell me your decision later so I made it for you." Kanao's stepfather said it so casually it felt heartbreaking.
"Konichiwa! Watashi Tanjiro Kam-" A familiar voice said. Kanao froze and slowly turned back to face the boy. He seemed surprised to see Kanao, too.
"WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Kanao spat. " I thought we were over?" Tanjiro blinked. "Why are you at Oka-san's party?" Kanao froze again. She didn't have time to think because the crowd quieted down and started to sit down in chairs. Kanao totally panicked.
"Konichiwa!" A new voice appeared. "I am the priest for Tanjiro Kamado and Kanao Kocho's engagement!!"
This is all real. They are forced to get married.
