With that, Kanao slammed the door in front of his face.

"Tanjiro-kun~~~!!!!" Daki's voice woke Tanjiro up slowly. He knew that she was gonna start asking for the Louis Vuitton bag again or something even more expensive than that. And surely, he was right.

"Ano... I saw this Bellevue Media Loro Piana bag I really want... Can I please-" Daki said, sheepishly.

"Okay, Daki-chan," Tanjiro cut her off. "I really don't have enough for that. Gomen..."

"N-nani?" Daki gasped. "You don't? But I thought-"

Tanjiro nodded sadly. "Even if I do, it would cost more than a fortune, and we wouldn't have enough for our normal lives."

Daki looked like she was about to cry. "Demo.. Demo I really want it!"

"Didn't you hear what I just said? We won't have enough for our normal life if I buy that bag for you. I'm sorry."

Daki stormed off angrily as Tanjiro's heart twitched. Something has changed. Both of them.

Kanao and Daki both have changed, and he couldn't figure out why. It was such a pain.

He shook it off and started getting ready for work. Later when he was about to leave, he found a note taped on the door.

It said 'Off shopping. Won't be back until 11 PM. - Daki' Tanjiro sighed. Honestly, he was getting kind of sick of this, so he left his own note. 'Wow, okay. I won't be back until 12 am.' He taped it on the door.

Tanjiro shook his head and left.

Inside Kanao's office, she was working her head off for the project. It was super hard but she didn't give up.

"Kanao-sama?" Makomo said, appearing out of nowhere behind Kanao.

"AH! Gomen... Hai?"

"Kamado-sama has arrived." She told her.

"Ooh! Arigatou for telling me!" Makomo nodded, bowed and then left.

"Uh, seventeenth floor? I think.... NO! Sixteenth floor!" Tanjiro pressed the button and waited for the elevator to take him up. Tanjiro sighed heavily. when he realized that he would be working tiredly with his ex, who has changed so much that he doesn't even recognize her anymore.

Ding!

Tanjiro stepped out and found Kanao waiting for him with her serious face again. Tanjiro rolled his eyes.

"Let's get to work, Kamado-san," Kanao said. Tanjiro nodded reluctantly.

Such a pick-me. He thought bitterly. When I get done with this ridiculous thing, I will go back to my wife and get her the bag she wanted.

When they got to a point they didn't agree on, Tanjiro got mad.

"Urusai! Just listen to me!" He yelled angrily. But again, Kanao solved the problem without starting an argument.

"We are working on this together, so that means the less arguments we have, the better it will go." And that really pissed Tanjiro off, since he hated her from the guts.

"Why am I even working with you? Why did I agree to your oto-san in the first place?" He lost control.

"But it was your choice anyways," Kanao responded calmly. "You can go home after this. It will be quick."
