So Kanao hesitated and nodded after a bit of silence.

Tanjiro was getting ready for work. He stepped out of the room and found Daki standing in front of him, crossing her arms. Seems like she is still mad about the argument they had last night.

"Well, are you going to work or not? I need my luxuries!" She snapped.

"Daki, I am working for it, alright? How many do you want? Like, 5? I really do have enough for all that, but we can't just-"

"Tanjiro-kun!! You are supposed to call me 'Daki-chan', not 'Daki'!" Daki cut him off.

Daki reached Tanjiro's breaking point.

He screamed into his pillow. "CAN YOU DROP IT? IT IS JUST A STUPID NAME! WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT!" Tanjiro would normally never shout to Daki like that, and even if he did, Tanjiro would apologize right after. But he didn't regret shouting to her this time. He had enough.

Daki froze. Tanjiro frowned. "What? I'm just telling the truth!" He spat.

Daki started whimpering. That women, how could she be possibly so annoying now?? Only if Kanao agreed to me... He thought sadly.

"Tanjiro-kun!!" Daki sprang back to life and argued.

"Stop calling me that name! It's disgusting! No one should call me that except-" Tanjiro screeched to a stop. One more second and the cat's out of the bag. But surely Daki noticed.

"W-who?" She asked.

"NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!" Tanjiro yelled again. "Gosh, you are so nosy!"

"How could you say that to me?!" Daki gasped.

"You know what, I'm going to work." Tanjiro got up furiously and slammed the door, getting in his car. He could hear Daki yelling at him through the CAR WINDOW.

Tanjiro quickly stepped on the gas pedal and drove away as fast as he can. And then he suddenly remembered that he was going to be working with Kanao again. It's gonna be embarrassing. Awkward.

Thennnnnn he drove as slowly as he possibly could.

The elevator door opened. "You're late, Kamado-san." Kanao stood in front of Tanjiro. He was surprised by how calm Kanao seemed. She couldn't have forgotten about the whole incident that happened yesterday, could she?

"Ano... hai." Tanjiro nodded.

"Since we are almost done with the project, I think that we can relax more, like more free time and stuff."

Tanjiro's heart sank. She doesn't want to stay with me. Kanao didn't forget about it after all.

"Let's work on it right now anyways," Kanao told him. "We should be able to finish in 3 days." Tanjiro nodded again. Surely they were making great process.

Since Kanao didn't seem to despise Tanjiro, it gave him the courage to ask again, "Etto... Um... have you considered more about.. getting back together with me?"

Kanao turned to stare at him. "I already said no yesterday."

"K-Kudasai?" Tanjiro begged.

"I already told you that I refuse!" Kanao argued, "Now please, leave me in peace. I do not want to ignite another flame for argument."

"Come on! It can't be that bad!" Tanjiro tried again.

"It is already that bad. My heart has broken twice, and I do not wish for it to break a third time." Kanao spat coldly.
