At the beginning, she was unsure about this idea, but now, she finally knew it: Her heart belonged to this male.

"Really?" Tanjiro asked, "You're sure?"
Kanao nodded solemnly but nervously again.
A giddy feeling filled Tanjiro, "Ah!" He laughed, "Th-This feeling! Domo Arigato, Kanao-chan!"
"You still do not have permission to call me that name. Especially at the office."
Even hearing Kanao's retort, Tanjiro felt at ease. He hadn't felt that way about any woman for a long time. Then he remembered his wife.
Daki was probably at home, looking at expensive bags, clothes, jewels, makeup, shoes, it would be impossible to name the whole list!
Kanao-chan never begs for expensive stuff and always works. Daki is just- you know what, I should drop the subject. I'll think about those comparisons later on.
"Ano, Kanao-san, do you want to go out sometime?"
Kanao raised an eyebrow, "That soon? We've still got work to do, even though we're almost done with the project."
"Erm, how does tomorrow after work do?" Tanjiro asked.
"Hm," His partner considered, "I guess that would be fine, as long as everything has been completed for the day before we set off... where should we go?"
Tanjiro thought about it. Then he remembered the place he loved to go with Nezuko when they started studying abroad after Kanao moved away.
"Ah, I know this really tasty udon place, just a few blocks away from your company!"
"Hm, daijobu... sounds good."
The next morning, Tanjiro got up excitedly.
"Tanjiro, what causes you to be so excited after we just had our argument?" Daki ordered.
Tanjiro set his hairbrush aside and looked at the woman sternly, "That is not for you to stick your nose in!"
"Humph! You're supposed to tell me everything!"
"Well it's about working- oh yeaaaah!- and you don't work!" The male rolled his eyes in exasperation and went back to styling his hair.
"Why are you doing your hair so carefully today?" Daki asked.
Tanjiro didn't even bother turning around. "Non of your business."
"Why aren't you answering my questions properly!"
"I gave you an answer: Non. Of. Your. Business!"
"That isn't proper!"
He threw his hair brush aside, "Why are you being such a nuisance!? An important event is happening today, so why shouldn't I look good?"
Daki wailed and slammed the door, hoping that her husband would talk to her, but Tanjiro wasn't in the mood for her annoyingness, so he gathered up his materials and stuffed them away.
Before he left, he stuck a note on the mirror that said, Eating dinner with a work partner! Won't be back until eight o'clock!
"I'm home!" Daki exclaimed as she entered the beach house.
No one answered.
"Tanjiro!"
Still no answer.
Ugh, he must've gone to sleep without me again! But it's still six o'clock! Daki thought.
