This was their way of life, the way of life they couldn't change- or could they?

Three years later...

BEEP! BEEP!

SLAM!

Kanao slammed her annoying alarm clock. Groaning, she got up and looked at the time.

"Seven o'clock AM." She said out loud, "Better get ready for work."

She pulled her blankets and went to the bathroom. Kanao's work started at eight thirty. She brushed her teeth, washed her face, did her facial care routine, brushed out her bedhead, and put on a touch of makeup.

Then she picked up her workbag, left the house, and went to the nearby bakery.

"Ohayo, Kanao-chan."

"Ohayo, Tamayo-sama." This was the bakery she went to everyday. A beautiful lady named Tamayo ran the store with her family- her husband and child.

"What can I get for you today?" The woman asked.

"Oh," Kanao said, "May I please have a box of ohagi?"

"Hai." Tamayo went into the kitchen and got a box of ohagi for Kanao. Then she came out and handed it to her.

"Arigatogozaimasu!" Kanao exclaimed, then payed for them and went on her way to the train.

As she boarded the train to her company, she looked at the date.

May 23rd. She thought, It's been three years.

Three years away from Tanjiro. Away from her ex-in-laws. Away from her family and friends.  Away from her will to never marry. Away from the Sakura Tree.

Wow, Kanao thought, I really moved on.

She munched on her ohagi. She didn't realize how much she actually missed her family- her sisters, mother, and even her father.

They must've moved on now, too. I bet Kanae and Shinobu nee-san moved in with their spouses now.

Kanao finished up her food and gathered up the trash.

The train finally stopped at the place she wanted to go. She got off the train and walked a few blocks down the city to her company.

As she walked in, she noticed a new girl at the front desk. The girl looked young, like high school young.

"Kon'nichiwa. What is your name?" Kanao asked.

"Oh, watashi wa Kamado Hanako." The girl said.

Kanao had to cover her mouth with her hands to keep herself from gasping. Did Tanjiro have a secret sister, other than Nezuko?

"Ano.. do you perhaps know Kamado Tanjiro?" She asked cautiously.

"Hai. He's my Onii-san."

Tanjiro really had a secret sister!?

"Why don't you live with your family?"

"Oh," Hanako said, "I study abroad with my two younger brothers and one older brother in Osaka. Tanjiro onii-san and Nezuko onee-chan used to come here for school too. I'm going to visit them in a few days!"

Kanao couldn't believe what she was hearing. She needed to somehow keep her presence a secret.

"Erm.. are you permanently working here?"

"No. I'm just here until I go to Tokyo. How do you know my onii-san?"

"Oh.. we met once..." Kanao tried to explain, hoping Hanako would forget about her soon enough.

"Oh?"

"Okay, can you listen, Hanako-chan," Kanao said, "Please forget about me when you leave."

"Hai."

"Good. Sayonara!" Then, Kanao headed for the elevator and pressed the sixteenth floor.

All the workers went to their desk when they saw her.

"Kon'nichiwa, Kocho-sama." They all said.

Kanao smiled at them and walked into her big office. Her assistant, Makomo, greeted her.

"Ohayo, Kanao-sama."

"Ohayo, Makomo-san." She sat down in her desk.

Yes, it was true. Kanao had become the CEO of this big company.

"Tanjiro-kun~~! It's time to wake up~!" Tanjiro woke up to his wife calling him.

Daki was standing next to the bed with a mug in her hand. She was wearing her casual home clothes.

Tanjiro got up, "Ohayo, Daki-chan."

"Ohayo. You have to go to work~!"

"Hai."

Tanjiro went to the bathroom, brushed his teeth, showered, did his hair, and put on his business clothes.

Okay, he wanted to be a chef. But his wife didn't like the idea of him with such a lousy job. So he changed it back to business.

Daki only wanted the best for them. He loved her with all his heart and she did the same. She was his biggest ally, after his parents took away his old company, his old business workers rejected him, and his ex-wife hated the idea of letting him have fun and left him.

Speaking of my ex-wife, Tanjiro thought was he put on his suit's outerwear, How many years has it been?

He checked his phone.

It's been three years. Tanjiro didn't miss her.

Kanao had been so rude and annoying. And such a clingy woman, who alway's asked where he'd went. Not even the tiniest bit as sweet and kind as Daki.

The man grabbed his workbag and headed downstairs.

"Tanjiro-kun!" Daki ran up to him, "I made your favorite breakfast- miso soup with rice!"

"Ah- arigatogozaimasu!" he said and sat down to eat.

"How is the company doing?" Daki asked sweetly.

"Ah, it's doing well."

"I'm glad."

Tanjiro finished up his food quickly. "Sayonara, Daki-chan." He said as he left.

Daki waved at him as he got into his limousine.

"Kon'nichiwa, Kamado-sama!" The group said.

Tanjiro headed for his office.

"Ohayo, Tanjiro-san." Tanjiro's new assistant, Zenitsu Agastuma, said.

"Ohayo, Zenitsu-san."

The he sat down in his  office chair.

He was also a CEO.

This was their way of life, the way of life they couldn't change- or could they?
