JUGHEAD VO: Thicker than blood. More precious than oil. Riverdale's big business is maple syrup. Since the town's founding, one family has controlled its lucrative syrup trade, the Blossoms. They were a part of the fabric of our daily lives... Rich or poor, old or young,we consumed Blossom syrup by the bucket. That sickly, sweet smell was inescapable. The death of Jason Blossom precipitated a crisis. With the heir apparent gone, who would inherit the family business one day? Certainly not Cheryl. It was a question that brought the wolves to Riverdale. And now, the Blossoms were circling the wagonsagainst possible attack, from within their own ranks.

On a snowy morning in the small town Riverdale, high above on a high rise, Spider-Man is sitting on the ledge of the building, looking over the snowy rooftops and snow flakes falling from the sky.

Peter: Peters Web- Day 149. Man, I'm freezing my nuts off. Really didn't plan for snowy season with this new outfit. Luckily, the hoodies coming in handy for the most part.

Spider-Man then puts his tape recorder in his hoodie pocket and he continues to sit and watch the snow flakes fall, as he begins to reflect on the recent events that have befallen his life.

Peter[cont.]: What am I saying? Here I am going on about how cold I am, meanwhile Betty's own sister chose the Blossoms over her own family, Veronica's Dad is going after Mr. Andrews and to top it all off no one is getting any closer into finding out who killed Jason Blossom. I don't know what's tougher, being a superhero or being a teenager. What do you think?

Spider-Man then looks over to his right and looks at a gargoyle sitting next to him, almost as if he's waiting for a response. Seconds later, Spider-Man then hears a beeping noise coming from his wrist. He looks down and sees that the beeping noise is coming from his watch and it reads that it's 7:25am

Peter[cont.]: Better get going. Don't wanna be late for school. Thanks for the talk, Goliath. You sure are a good listener.

Spider-Man then leaps off the ledge and swings away, into the snowy whiteness, and disappears from sight the further he swings.

Meanwhile, at another part of Riverdale, Deputy Sheriff George Stacy is in home office where he stands and looks at his own murder board of possible suspects to who might've killed Jason Blossom. The names that are listed on the board include The Coopers, The Blossoms, and the Lodges. As Deputy Sheriff Stacy is staring at his board he hears a knock come from his office door.

George Stacy: Come in.

The door opens and Gwen Stacy peeks her head in. Mr. Stacy turns around and acknowledges his daughter's presence.

Gwen: Hey dad, breakfast is on the table. You don't want it to get cold.

George Stacy: I'll be down in a moment, cupcake.
