- - - - PARKER HOME - - - - Later that day, Peter is sitting at his desk, pinching the bridge of his nose, as Mary Jane is reading the letter that Veronica gave Peter after school.
MJ: Dear, Spider-Man. I never got a chance to say thank you for saving me, at the Homecoming dance. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be here, today. I know some people see you as dangerous, but in my eyes you'll always be a hero. If you need someone to talk to, you can always count on me. Stay safe and I hope to hear from you soon. Yours truly, Veronica Lodge. Hmmm, she put her address and lipstick kiss right next to it.
Peter: This... this is insane.
MJ: What are you talking about?
Peter: You heard her. She and Archie are dating and, from this note, she has an obvious crush on me.
MJ: Actually, she has a crush on Spider-Man.
Peter: Who is me!!! Being caught in some weird Love Triangle was not in the superhero handbook.
MJ: I mean... she doesn't need to know it's you. Just keep the mask on.
Peter: That is both weird and creepy on so many levels.
MJ: Oh, Jesus. Not that.
Annoyed by Peter's immaturity, Mary Jane sits on the edge of Peter's bed and faces him, making sure she's understanding the words that she is about to say to him.
MJ[cont.]: Look. No one is saying that you have to tell her you're Spider-Man. All you have to do is thank her for the support and that's it. Who knows, this may help your image.
Peter: Image of what?
MJ: Instead of being a masked vigilante, known as Spider-Man. This maybe the start of you being a Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
MJ then heads to her room as Peter thinks and begins contemplating this idea. He then gets up and picks up at Veronicas letter and looks as he begins thinking of what he should do next.
- - - - THE PEMBROKE - - - - Later that night, Veronica is in her bedroom, brushing her hair, as she is getting ready for bed. Suddenly, she hears a thump outside her bedroom window. Veronica then, hesitantly, walks to her window and opens and walks onto her patio, as she looks around and sees what could've made that noise. As Veronica continues to wonder, suddenly she hears something behind her. She turns around to see the letter she gave Peter earlier today. At that moment, she hears a deep voice from above and she looks up to see Spider-Man sticking on the wall above her.
A/N: When Spider-Man is talking to people that know him as Peter Parker, he talks with a deeper register than his normal voice.
Spider-Man: Parker gave me your letter. I appreciate the compliments
