Y/N point of view

When Toothless broke part of the branch I was hanging from and fell down, I opened my wings to look at him. He was looking at me. He got up on his two feet and rose up towards me. He was... so cute. I wanted to spend time with him, but I remembered what Light had said. Maybe I should just let him try to impress me? Conflicted with myself, I closed my wings and sealed myself inside the cocoon.

It had only been a few seconds when I heard the sound of something being dragged along the ground. Curious, I opened my wings slightly to see Toothless dragging a large piece of branch across the ground.

No.. He was drawing something.

My curiosity got the better of me, so I spread my wings wide. I let go of the branch I had wrapped my tail around and jumped down. "Um, what are you doing, Toothless?" I stopped when we were about a meter apart. When our eyes met, I realized how silly he looked with that piece of twig in his mouth. It made me giggle involuntarily.

As I smiled, Toothless tilted his head and looked at me more carefully. Then, as if he remembered something, he added something else to his drawing. When I looked down to see what it was, I realized that it was me he was drawing.
What he had just added was my smile.
"Toothless... this is very special."

"Not as much as you.." I looked away at his mumble.
I was amazed by what he was doing. I walked around the drawing and walked towards Toothless. I found his embarrassment and averted eyes cute. We were very close now.

Toothless point of view

Y/N and I were so close. We smelled each other once again as if we were meeting for the first time. It was all like a dream. She was like a dream.

I closed my eyes for a moment, touching the tip of my nose to Y/N's. I've never felt this way before. I've never... met someone like me before.

As Hiccup reviewed the final plans for my tail prosthesis, I itched and flaked as he wanted.

When I had enough exfoliation, I excitedly nudged Hiccup and stared at my prosthetic tail through the round thing.
When he gently pushed me back, I stopped and sniffed the tail. It was literally perfect!

As Hiccup held the bowl towards me, I let my saliva flow and waited in a corner. I could have spent more time with Y/N!  But.. Flying without Hiccup would always make me feel incomplete.

At that moment, Hiccup brought the prosthetic tail right in front of me and opened it. "All right fire when ready!"

I happily fired and when Hiccup closed the tail back I was met with a black Gobber.

"Well I guess you know the tale is fireproof."

Hiccup looked embarrassed at Gobber, who was putting out the fire in his mustache, and then turned to me. "Okay Toothless!"

Uncontrollably excited by the idea of flying with Female Fury again, I pushed Gobber a little and turned around Hiccup.

"This is not helping!" Hiccup sat on my tail, trying to calm me down. Talking to both Gobber and Eret at the same time, he put on my prosthetic tail and stood up.

When the weight on my tail was lifted, I lifted my tail and sniffed it on and off. It was completely like my own tail!

I couldn't take my eyes off my new prosthetic tail. I happily pushed Hiccup and licked him into a hug. "Thanks, Hiccup! You're my best friend!"
