My heart stopped.
"Y-Your what?" I stuttered. I clenched the back of my chair.
"You have no respect, boarding school is your best option. It's safe there," My mom repeated. My plan backfired. I wanted friends and painting and other things a fifteen year old shouldn't be unable to have. I had wished for a normal life were I could make my decisions but instead my parents decided where I go to school. This was just the beginning, pretty soon they would be choosing my collage then my career then who I marry until one day they realize I'm not their puppet. So I decided to show them I wasn't.
"I'm not going," I insisted. I crossed my arms in protest.
"Yes you will young lady!" My mother ordered. She stood straighter to show more authority.
"You honestly want be locked up in a school full of rich brats? I'm fifteen you can't treat me like a baby!" I argued. I stood from my chair, for once I was standing up for myself. My legs were staking but my words were firm.
"We wouldn't treat you like a baby if you didn't act like one!" My mother hissed. A thought flickered into my mind. It was dumb but I went for it.
"Fine, I will go to stupid boarding school, if we make a deal," I plucked the picture of the Eiffel Tower off the mirror, "We are going to France."
