The starry sky was beautiful. After being chased down the streets by two waiters, we decided it was getting late so we when to a tree filled park and set up camp. The stars peeked out behind the leaves of the large tree we rested under. Emma had fallen asleep and Jake and I laid staring at the stars. All was peaceful.
"Thank you," I turned and looked at Jake.
"For what?" He asked smiling at me. Our heads were only a foot away I wanted to kiss him, but I constrained myself.
"For giving me this, I've spent my whole life being told what to do and where to go but now I can breathe," I said starring into his deep blue eyes.
"It's my pleasure," Jake whispered. He leaned in to kiss me. Then Emma began to snore, so we snapped out of it. We sat up and began to laugh. I wished everyday could be as good as this one.I laid back down the soft grass comforted me. Jake laid back down as well. The cold air began to feel uncomfortable, Jake saw I was shivering and took his jacket off and put it over me like a blanket.
"Thank you," I whispered.
"Of course," Jake replied. Jake was such a gentleman.
"Are you sure your girlfriend would be ok with you, um, running off?" I hinted that I wanted to know if he had a girlfriend.
"I'm not sure, are you?" My heart stopped, did he just call me his girlfriend? After one five hours of knowing him he was my boyfriend, you might say we were rushing in to things but I truly felt like we weren't.
"Yes," I whispered then I did what I had wanted to do since I met him, I kissed him.
