It'd been a few days since AJ had come to the Roe/Scott house in tears and after a little while of trying to get him to calm down, Alex finally managed to understand what had happened which was that his mom had shown up at his apartment that he shared with Eric with the exception of being welcomed back with open arms however the reality was so far removed from that with AJ slamming the door in her face before waiting for her to leave before grabbing his truck keys and headed towards Alex's. She couldn't help but think while holding AJ as he slept due to exhaustion from crying so much that Nathan had been somewhat right about how AJ would crumble if his mom got back in contact with his as she couldn't help looking at his current condition from a brief encounter with her and wonder how much worse he would get if she prolonged her stay in Tree Hill. After Alex told her mom about what was going on with her boyfriend, Karen allowed AJ to stay over for a while with the promise that nothing would happen between them which Alex was quick to agree too since she knew AJ needed comfort more than anything else right and that didn't necessarily include sex. One morning Alex work up before AJ as she turned in bed to see him laying next to her, she had admit that while she didn't like the circumstances that caused him to be laying next to her that she definitely like waking up to him. She couldn't help but admire him and think about how young he looked in his sleep as she couldn't help but run a gently hand through his mass of dark curls as he slowly curled into her touch as he woke up slowly

^Alex's 1st outfit^
" hey pretty girl" AJ said as he gave her a small smile as he opened his eyes to see those eyes he loved so much since they were always filled with such love and feeling toward him as he wondered if anything would ever make the way she looked at him change as he hoped not
" hey... how are you feeling?" Alex said as she continued to stroke his hair as reality seemed to come swimming back to him like tidal wave as he remembered the reason why he was currently hiding out at Alex's place in fear that his mom would suddenly pop back up like last time
" like I want to stay here with you in this bed where it's safe, where it's just you and me" AJ said knowing that he didn't want to go out into the world filled with other people and other complications as he buried his head further into her and into her chest as if seeking more comfort
" I want that too but we promised my mom that we'd behave and I think that includes going to school which we have today" Alex said reminding them that there was still life going on around them however much they wished that everything would just stopped for a moment
" I hate behaving, I hate school and I hate that my absentee mother came back into my life after ten years and acted like she had only been away to the store or something" AJ said knowing that things weren't exactly easy for him right now as he thought about his life
" I hate that too and if there was anything I could do to keep her away from you then I would do it" Alex said knowing she would do anything to protect him since it seemed like someone should since the people who were meant to do like his parents who were always the cause of his troubles
