The party seemed to have been a huge success in terms of showing Nathan and Haley that were some people that not only supported them but also supported their marriage especially in light of the drama that Deb had caused with her outburst on the matter. Eventually Alex and AJ had decided to rejoin the party to see the tail end of the outburst as they all quickly went into crisis control mode as they tried to pull it back and keep the party mood up as to not ruin the party further. However the party wasn't enough to distract Alex from not only thinking about her parental issues but also AJ's as she worried that his mom was going to make a reappearance and cause issues for him. Alex couldn't shake the feeling like something big was looming over them as she couldn't help but think about the damage that might be done both physically and mentally to AJ if his mom suddenly reappeared in his life and that was before she even considered whatever Dan wanted from her and Lucas as she knew it couldn't be anything good. Although it seemed like she wasn't the only on one to have Dan on his mind if Lucas storming into her room early the next day was anything to go by as he rudely woke her up filled with questions about what they should do about Dan's visit request.

" dude, you better have a death wish for waking me up" Alex said as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes as she pulled herself into a sitting position while Lucas made himself comfortable on her bed after jumping on it in order to wake his twin sister up
" I'm sorry but I'm going crazy here and I need to talk to you... here, I know better than to wake up without coffee" Lucas said handing her the cup of coffee that he had placed on a nearby desk in her room as she gave him a grateful smile as her anger seemed to go
" fine, you're off the hook... anyway talk to me about what? If it's about the Deb thing last night, I think we covered it well" Alex said trying to rack her brain as to what would be so urgent for him to wake her up to talk to her about before coming up blank
" it's not about the Deb thing, it's about the other Scott parent" Lucas said already anticipating her reaction as he knew she felt stronger about Dan than he did as she could see it from a similar perspective as her mother and more than Lucas could ever
" Dan? Urgh, why?" Alex said grimacing as she took a sip from her coffee as she shifted a little as she wondered everything in her life came back to Dan Scott and the way he had abandoned or abused everyone close to her as she failed to keep her emotion from showing
" maybe because he's in the hospital, maybe because he wants to see us. Don't you think that's kind of a big deal?" Lucas said knowing that all he had ever wanted was a chance to get to know their biological father who had never shown any interest
" no and you shouldn't either. I get it, the dude almost died from a heart attack and it was bad but that doesn't mean he gets to play father of the year because of it" Alex said placing her cup on her bedside table before getting out bed to get ready for the day
