Tree hill was a small town in North Carolina in America, a town was seemed even smaller when trying to avoid your biological father that abandoned you before you were born and his other family or so Alexandra Scott thought as she tried to avoid her half brother on a daily bases despite the fact that they went to the same school. Everyone in Tree Hill seemed to know the story of Dan Scott of his children as he got Karen Roe pregnant with her twins Lucas and Alexandra who simply went by Alex when she was 17 before then getting Deb Lee pregnant three months later with their son Nathan Scott. The way the story unfolds, Dan married Deb and raised their son to a carbon copy of himself as he was in high school as the arrogant entitled basketball star while leaving Karen to raise their twins alone with the help of Dan's older brother who had been more of a father to the elder Scott children than Dan had ever been hence his current interference in their life.

"well, well... Keith Scott. What do you know?" Whitey, the coach of the Tree Hill High Ravens, said as he noticed the oldest Scott come into his office well after hours as he smiled since he always liked him

" How you doing, Whitey?" Keith said as he leaned against Whitey's doorframe for a moment before stepping into the office that held so many memories of his short time on the high school team

" Take a load off" Whitey said knowing that unlike with his younger brother, he had always had time for Keith who seemed mor relatable and overall a better person than Dan had ever been even as an adult

" You, uh, you got a second?" Keith said thinking about the reason behind his visit after hearing what had happened recently with the school team as he saw this as his opportunity to enact his plan

" Oh, I got a lot of seconds or haven't you heard?" Whitey said thinking about how six of his players had been suspended due to the team stealing a bus after a successful game the night before

"Oh yeah, I heard" Keith said thinking about how Nathan has been the one driving the bus and had gotten away with it due to Dan's connections as he took out a flask from his pocket and offered it to him

" Just a little... a little more. That's good. I saw your little brother today, Danny. He called me "despicable." Said I crush the dreams of young men" Whitey said thinking of their damaged relationship

" was he talking about himself or Nathan, do you think?" Keith said thinking about how Dan had never seemed to leave behind the version he was back in high school or leave the dreams he had back then

" Both, I suppose. Hey, what did you average when you played for me?" Whitey said thinking about how he had always wished that Keith had kept playing for him, for not because he was a nice guy

" Oh, about 5,006 beers a night" Keith said taking a sip from the flask before both men began to laugh as they thought about life, both knowing how messy and unpredictable it could sometimes like now

" well, at least you were consistent" Whitey said as he lifted his cup in the air towards him to cheers the drink before taking a sip from it as he knew that he would need to address the issue of his missing players soon

" Yeah, you gotta give me that. Hey, you know, uh... Lucas plays" Keith said knowing that he was going to have to dip his feet into the toes when he was dealing with this one since he knew what Whitey's reaction would be

" Lucas? Oh... Oh, Dan's other son" Whitey said remembering that Dan also had two other children even if he refused to remember himself or even acknowledge that his children existed in this world

" Well, Karen's son. Dan's name is on both his and his sister's birth certificates but they never got married and he's never been there for either of them" Keith said knowing Lucas and Alex were better off
