In the morning, Regulus woke up alone in a cold bed. Octavia had vanished. Ran away even. He wasn't surprised. As he stared at the empty spot next to him he remembered her, the night they shared, thought about how he hadn't seen this coming, not even soon, and maybe never. But he didn't know all of her obviously, so as he said it earlier, he was discovering a new side of her everyday.

It was still early when Octavia arrived at Lilah's place. The girl was still sleeping but she went to wake her up. Zephyr was sleeping in her room, on a bed at the opposite of hers. She could guess he had been fighting with his parents once more. They have been forcing him to become a Death Eater, to find a fiancée, to think about a career and to make them proud. But Zephyr was just a careless teenager who only thought about his friends and having fun. When both woke up, they were surprised to see her there. She explained the situation to them, and they freaked out, and screamed so loudly and she was just exasperated by their reactions.

"Merlin's beard, can you shut up! It was nothing okay, it just... happened."

"It just happened blah blah..." repeated the boy while mocking her.

"Yes! So shut it!"

"I'm sure Regulus is already at Jaden's place telling him about how amazing it was to be with you. Don't break the poor boy's heart with such cruel words!"

Octavia stared at him for a moment, pondering over his words, before concluding it was pure stupidity. "That's rubbish, Regulus would never do that."

"I thought you were believing me for a second," he laughed.

"Anywayyyyy! Your impressions? How was it?"

"I think it was his first time and-"

"It was," confirmed Zephyr.

"And at first it was weird. He seemed so confused!"

"How cute," chuckled Lilah at her words.

"Yes, I know! Zephyr, you better not repeat this or I hex you," dryly spoke the girl after.

"As if you would," laughed the boy.

She spent the day with them and went back home later in the evening. Octavia already knew her parents would not bother trying to know where she was. She got time to talk with her friends, to clear her mind and she concluded she needed to talk with Regulus. Their relationship was getting even more complex, she didn't know what to do anymore. After washing up, changing of clothes and saying hello to her brothers, she visited Regulus' house again. She avoided his parents as she entered the place and quickly apparated to Regulus' room.

The girl knocked on the door.

"Come in," said his voice on the other side of the door, loud enough. She did as told. Once in the room, with the door closed behind her, the boy looked up at her in surprise. Regulus was sitting at his desk, probably doing some homework and he really wasn't expecting her.

"Octavia. How can I help you?"

She looked away, then back at him, "I wanted to talk. About last night..."

"Oh. Sure."

He made sure not to mention her sudden embarrassment and invited her to sit on a chair next to his, that he just made appear with his wand. She sat down and removed her cloak.

"You must know I wasn't in my right mind and..." she started but got interrupted abruptly.

"Are you saying that I used the opportunity to..." he wondered, his tone flat and distant, almost cold.

"No! Absolutely not! I'm not blaming you!" she exclaimed, panic showing in her eyes. "It's myself that I'm blaming..." she finished, looking down at her fidgeting hands.
