Somethings Wrong

(Sasha's POV)

"Alright, Wartwood, we have been down here for a while now, we have a great team that goes out in the field, but I think it's time we take a few more out for a real mission"

The crowned cheered a little bit. I flipped over the blackboard and grabbed the piece of chalk. "Okay everyone listen up, we have taken down one of these factors before but we have the location of another." I drew a circle around the previous drawing on the board.

As I continued explaining the mission I looked up to the room's opening at the top of the seats.

I saw (Y/n) walk in but they turned invisible after they knew I saw them, I think it's just their way of letting me know that their there. I smiled as I continued.

"Croaker, Wally, Loggle you guys are each going to take a trainee on the mission, I will also take someone on this mission. Croaker takes Maddie, Wally, Fern, Loggle, and Stumpy. Ivy your with me. You guys suit up so we can get a move on everyone else you are dismissed for the day"

Everyone left the room, I was the last to leave I passed the spot the (Y/n) was last standing at a pause. "Meet me in the war room real quick" I hoped that they were still there.

I walked to the war room. I took my helmet off and placed it on the table, it had become a signal in a way.

(Y/n) became visible a few moments later. "What up Sasha?"

"Are you sure you don't want to come on this mission?" I asked

"No, I prefer to just stay here, or maybe I do tag along and you just don't know it" (Y/n) had a stupid look on her face.

"Whatever you say" I shrugged, I'm pretty sure they stay here. Getting to know them over this time, I knew that if they did come on the last mission they would have felt the need to help because I almost got lost trying to find the factory. Even though I still found it without too much of an issue.

(Y/n) went to grab my helmet and handed it to me. I'm sure I just saw things but I could have sworn that the edges of their hands had purple on them. I burgled it off and put my helmet on.

After saying goodbye I went and met with my team and we left on the mission

~Time Skip~

I was walking through the tunnels after the mission. I wanted to find (Y/n). They were worried about us finding the location of this factory because it was the one they weren't 100% sure about.

"(Y/n)?" I asked out loud hoping that they would pop out of somewhere, but no response.

I walked past the war room, I took a quick peek in there.

I saw (Y/n) standing in the middle of the room, which was weird because they don't usually like being visible while alone. But what was strange body switching from being visible to invisible repeatedly?

(Y/n) stared at their hands, trembling. Their hands slowly started to glow purple, and soon their whole body was glowing and they fell to the floor, holding themselves tightly.

The whole room earned a purple glow, and (Y/n) let out a distressed groan. I didn't know how I would but I know I needed to help.

I rushed into the room and sat in front of (Y/n). They looked up at me. "(Y/n) I'm here what can I do to help?" I ask them, but they just shook their head.

"No!" They slightly shouted at me, "I don't want you to help"

I knew they were in pain, and I wasn't going to just sit there and do nothing. They didn't want my help, but that doesn't mean in not going to.

I don't know what they need, but the best thing I can think to do is a hug. I leaned forward and wrapped my arms around them. Thankfully they were physical.

I heard them gasp but they didn't pull away, instead, they slowly leaned into the hug. I heard them counting to themselves under their breath.

It seemed that there was an awful burst of pain because it caused (Y/n) to grip my upper arm.

I found myself not in the war room anymore. Instead through the eyes of (Y/n) in the first temple, as the stone charged, then in the second, and then the third.

I then found myself in the fourth temple, through the purple-tinted eyes of (Y/n) as they grabbed the purple stone half charged.

Lastly, I found myself in the castle, (Y/n) was looking at Anne, as she discovered her powers for the first time.

The purple tint returned to (Y/n)'s eyes and they watched Anne fight Andrias.

"Sasha!" I heard a voice should "Sasha!" The voice shouted again, there was a bright purple flash and I found myself back in the war room, on the floor, sitting across from (Y/n) who was looking worried.

"Sasha are you okay? I'm so sorry," (Y/n) began frantically apologizing. "I can't control that power"

"(Y/n), it's alright, are you alright? That was pretty bad though"

"Yeah it felt worse than the other few times, I hope Anne's okay" (Y/n) had their arms crossed over their head holding themselves.

I hadn't realized anything strange until they realized something and immediately hit their arms behind their cloak.

I wanted to ask but to be honest, I think it would bring on more panic and stress on (Y/n) and they need a break.

"How did the mission go?" (Y/n) asked.

"Great actually, the factory was exactly where you marked it, we were able to destroy it and the trainees did well" I smiled, it felt nice giving them good news for once.

But of course, someone had to come and ruin it. Toady hopped in the room. "Commander Sasha we have a bit of an issue"

"What happened?" I asked.

"There is a centipede with a collar in town, it doesn't know we are here, but Grime believes it wouldn't be safe to leave base till it's taken care off"

"Tell Grime me and my strike team will take care of it" Toady nodded and left the room.

I stood up and offered my hand to help (Y/n) up. They just stood up on their own just like last time. I really need to ask them about that. Maybe tonight, after we take care of the centipede.

"Get some rest (Y/n)!" I looked at them trying my best to convince them silently.

"You know I can't sleep"

"I mean go invisible for a while, and stop worrying about everything for at least a little while. You work hard and deserve a little bit of a break"

(Y/n) smiled, and nodded, "Take your own advice once in a while, two missions one day?"

"Touché" (Y/n) smiled and turned invisible. I walk out of the war room and over to the little rail that looked over the whole base.

"Croaker, Wally, Loggle! We got a worm to take care of" I yelled over, the three of them got ready and I grabbed the blaster and my helmet. I met them by the door and we were off.
