The Three Armies

(Sasha's POV)

I stood in front of the crowd Anne was standing behind me "Listen up! Our spies tell us that Andrias plans to invade Earth in just a few days. So it's time for our rebellion to mobilize!" Everyone in the crowd cheers

"We're ready!" Grime shouted

"Oh yeah!"

"Which means, it's time for us to join up with our newt and toad allies. Woooo!" Anne added but everyone stopped cheering and was disappointed

"Did you say newts... and toads... coming here... to work with us?!" Wally asked

"Yeah. What's the problem?"

"Historically frogs, toads, and newts haven't really gotten-" Hop Pop added but Grime had interrupted him.

"What Hop Pop is trying to say is that things will be tense."

"Really? But Duckweed's a newt, Toadstool's a toad, and you two have been happily living in Wartwood for years." Anne argues

Duckweed and Toadstool look at each other for a second. "Eh, define happily."

"That's definitely had its bumps."

"I don't believe this. You're telling me we spent all this time building this giant army and there's a chance you guys won't work together?"

"We're just saying there's an extremely high possibility of that, yes." I get frustrated at this, that is such a giant waste of an army if they can't even get along.

"Cheer up, Sash. You're forgetting that I happen to be excellent at brokering peace between feuding factions."

"I...whaaaat?"

"Hello? I brought the track team and band geeks together that one time to put on the school dance. Only award I've ever gotten."

"Oh yeah. By pointing out they both value proper lung control"

"Getting these guys together will be a cinch. You'll see. We just need to find those connection points"

"You better be right. We don't have much time and a lot is riding on this."

Toadie runs in "Madame Generals. They're here."

The army comes and after they all check in their weapons they all meet us in the planning room. I was leading but I felt a gentle hand on my shoulder and saw nobody when I looked back I let everyone enter the planning room before me. 

Once everyone was in the room and it was just me outside (Y/n) became visible. "Sasha I need to tell you something"

"What is it (Y/n)?"

"I was out just doing some normal rounds when I saw all of the factories and Andrias's bases were nearly abandoned, I think they might be invading sooner than we think" (Y/n) seems worried, more worried than they usually do which is slightly worried me just because (Y/n) had always been calm. Ever since the trip to visit mother olm, they have seemed more anxious.

"Hey it's okay, we have our army here and we are just working on a plan as we speak. Do you want to go in there and help plan?"

"No, I trust you guys to make a plan but I have something else I need to do before we go into battle" (Y/n) was avoiding eye contact with me. Something up and I'll have to ask them about it later but right now we need to plan. I simply nodded before I walked into the planning room and began planning.

I walked away from Sasha becoming invisible again. I've got to figure this out, I can't keep this up anymore.
