(Sasha's POV)
(Y/n) just turned invisible and walked out of the room I called out after them but nothing. I quickly left the war room but I was stopped. Someone was outside the curtain.
It was Sprig and the expression on his face said it all. He had overheard the conversation. He knows and he looked mortified.
I sighed, "Don't tell Anne" I led him into the war room. He sat at the table and kicked his feet slightly.
"Are-" he paused trying to get the words out. "Are they really-"
"Yeah"
"How- how are they still here?" Sprig asked
"I don't know, but I'm trying to figure out how to keep them here, but I feel like their time may be running out"
"We have to tell Anne maybe she'll know what do to" Sprig pleaded
"No, (Y/n) doesn't want Anne to know, and if we told her we would be breaking a promise I made with them"
"Okay at least let me help figure something out"
"Sure Sprig, but how about you head to bed, it's getting late and I've got a mission briefing tomorrow, a team and I are heading out in the morning"
Sprig looked down for a second. "Please for Anne's sake, consider telling her, if (Y/n) is really running out of time it's better to cherish the time you have left rather than finding out when they're gone"
"I'll talk to (Y/n) about it"
~Time Skip~
Mrs. Croaker, Wally, Loggle, Maddie, and Toadie have gathered to meet with Anne and me for a mission briefing.
Sasha: Listen up, soldiers. The Marauders have intercepted our latest shipment of weapons.
"How could they?"
"Sorry," She chuckles "Marauders?"
"A gang of dirty, anarchist frogs who don't work for Andrias or the rebellion. They hijack caravans, raid villages for scraps, and are basically a huge, unwashed thorn in my side."
"Can't we just smack 'em down?"
"There are too many of 'em to take head-on."
"Bingo."
"Whoa"
"So, we're gonna sneak into their camp and steal our stuff back," I said and
"I love dramatic irony!" Wally laughed evilly
"Croaker, you and your team come up with the battle strategy. Me and Anne are gonna go grab the gear." I said
Me and Anne walked out of the room to gather some supplies, what I didn't expect was for (Y/n) to meet us there.
Their hands and arms were hidden within their cloak concealing the purple cracks, but what was slightly strange was that there was a slight smile on their face, and it looked genuine.
"Sorry, I'm a little late did I miss the briefing?" They asked.
Anne smiled at them, "Yeah, we just finished up, are you joining us on this mission?" Anne excitedly asked.
"Umm I don't think-" I started but was interrupted
"Yeah, I was hoping I would be able to, I don't have any mission lined up and I know exactly how to get to the Marauders' camp"
"Of course, you can join us, we'd love to have your help, right Sasha?" Anne looked at me expecting something.
"Anne can you get the gear, I'll meet you and the team outside. I need to talk to (Y/n) for a second" Anne's smile changed but she gathered the gear and walked away.
