((Y/n)'s POV)

It was only Sasha, Anne, and the Planters who were left in the war room. Everyone else had left after it was decided that this team would be going to track down the olms from Quarreler's Pass.

They were going to go and see if the two olms knew something about Mother Olm, usually, I would go and at least check the place out but this time they were already gearing up to go.

"Are you going to come with us (Y/n)?" Anne asked a hopeful glint in her eye. I didn't even realize she was looking at me.

"Umm, I don't know Anne" I answered honestly, I had a few things I wanted to do on my own.

"Come on, you barely come on any mission with us" Anne pleaded.

"Anne I think (Y/n) actually has another mission that they are working on" Sasha filled in, I probably took too long to respond so I thank her for filling in.

"What mission is that?" Anne asked, I looked to Sasha hoping for something but her face showed no answer to Anne's question.

"I think they were helping Grime train some of the resistance and watch over the base" I followed the voice back to Sprig, and that was slightly strange to me just because I knew I didn't have a mission, I looked to Sasha for answers and she just held an apologetic expression.

Sprig knew. But the good thing is he is covering for me so he hasn't told Anne and he at least doesn't plan to for the near future.

"Oh alright then, good luck on your mission (Y/n)" Anne while agreeing still had a lingering sadness over the fact that I was not joining them on the mission.

"Sorry again Anne duty calls" I headed towards the curtain separating the room from the rest of the base. "Good luck on your mission guys, hope you guys find what you are looking for" With that, I walk out of the room and straight to an empty tunnel.

I looked around one last time to make sure no one was around. I took a deep breath as I let some of the power I was using go. I looked down at my hands and arms. I groaned as I saw the purple cracks he spread to just past my elbows.

It took a lot of energy to conceal those, but it was worth it. Sasha doesn't need to know, she doesn't need to worry about me.

There were a few reasons why I wasn't going on this mission with them. One the obvious was that it would use way too much energy, but two I was going to go back to the fourth temple, which was the temple I was connected to, I needed to see if there was anything about where the stones' power came from and maybe something on getting me back permanently.

I know it's selfish, and I know I should be helping with the war and not my problems, but I want to see my mom again. I would give anything to see her again.

So I made myself invisible and I left the base and headed towards the fourth temple.

I knew I arrived when I saw the forest filled with purple and pink leaves. But something was off, when I looked closer at the trees every one of them was withering and leaves were falling off the branches. When the leaves hit the ground they were wither to dust and the wind would take the remains. It was sad to see a forest that was once so beautiful begin to slowly fade away.

Nevertheless, I had a mission, so I entered the temple. I spent a good portion of them looking around the whole temple and all the rooms to try and find something but I couldn't find anything remotely helpful.

The rooms were simple, each had a board-like screen where it displayed each of the puzzles when we were here last.

All the puzzles were already solved it just looked abandoned, or maybe it looked abandoned because the temple's bright purple glow had now dimmed.
