Drake was on his way to his oh-so-interesting classes while looking at his phone. Yeah, not so great choice and bang...he bumped into Someone.
"Shit, sorry." Drake apologized but just then another curse came out of his mouth when he saw who he bumped into. Pluem. Wait but what was Pluem doing in the medical building? Business administration building was some two blocks away from there. Drake smirked as a thought came in his mind. Chimon.
"Oh it's not your fault. I am sorry. I just felt a bit dizzy suddenly." Pluem said as he picked Drake's phone that fell on the ground. "By the way, have we met before?" He asked as he handed Drake his phone.
Of course they did. The day Frank rejected Drake, when he was crying his eyes out on a rainy day in a park sitting on a bench. Pluem was the happiest person that day as Chimon said yes to him until he saw someone sitting on a bench crying. Drake looked up with his puffy eyes when he felt no water over his head. There he was, Pluem, holding an umbrella, offering him the most genuine smile he can. Drake didn't know who Pluem was that time. That time he was just a stranger Drake could tell anything to, without being judged. A stranger with a beautiful smile, a little light that might not remove the darkness but definitely could help to survive the darkness. Later on, Drake come to know about Pluem through Frank's family photo but they never happened to meet again.
"I am the guy you helped on a rainy day. I don't know if you remember." Drake replied with a smile that reached his eyes.
"Sorry. I seem to not remember." Pluem felt guilty of not remembering someone who seemed so happy seeing him.
"That's really fine. It was not some important incident to remember. I have classes, now. So, maybe see you around." Waving their hands they left in different directions.
Maybe it was not such a big incident for Pluem to remember but was it same for Drake?
.....
"You are staring at him since the minute you first stepped inside our classroom." Drake pointed.
"I saw him with Pluem again an hour or something ago. What do you think he is like?" Frank quickly questioned. So, Drake's guess was right. Pluem was here for Chimon. He smiled again
Drake tilted his head a bit looking at Chimon who was happily chatting with some classmates unknown of the existence of the two, they thought.
"Friendly, talkative, handsome, of course not as much as me, but yes. And if you want to know more about him why don't you try to befriend him."
Drake definitely saw spark in Frank's eyes even though that was for a few seconds only. Drake wanted Frank to make some friends. He wanted him to live as the old Frank. And maybe Chimon could be the start. So, he shouted.
"Hey, Chimon. A minute please." Frank's 'you-are-dead' glare did make Drake gulped but he was was not Drake if he backed down so easily. Heck, he is even pursuing Frank even after being rejected for God knows how many times.
.....
Chimon was failing miserably to focus on what his classmates were talking about due the constant staring from his dear future brother-in -law. They never even talked before. Heck if he even knows Chimon's name but suddenly staring at Chimon as if he committed a great sin. Just then Frank's friend, Drake, shouted his name. He flinched. But covering it well, he nodded with a smile while going closer to their seat.
"My friend here wants to be friends with you." Ahh.. Drake and his straightforward mouth. Frank wanted to strangle him.
This was unexpected for Chimon but he wanted to get to know Frank too. After all he was the most silent plus best in academic one in the class.
"I would love to be friends with you two, Frank and Drake."
"Yo-you know our names!" It came out more surprising then Frank intended. After all he was out of practice to talk to strangers.
"Of course we are classmates." Chimon replied, smiling while furrowing his brows at the same time.
"He is kind of introvert. So he is awkward around strangers. Please ignore his behavior. Can you have lunch with us during break, by the way? If you are OK, that is." Drake to the rescue as always.
"Yeah, certainly." Chimon agreed. With that the professor entered the room making the the class quiet.
.....
"You think he is hiding something too, right?" Gun asked Off. It was Gun's free time and Off, well let's say he was master of his own time and job.
"I know he is hiding something. But drawing it out of force from him might just worsen the situation. We don't know what is wrong or if there really is anything wrong. Let's not be nosy. Wait for him to open up. We just have to remind him that we are here for him. We always are no matter what." Off said looking at Win who took his day off today and was sleeping peacefully on his bed.
"I love you, Papi"
"I love you more." Off said kissing Gun's forehead.
.....
"Ohh!! Look who's home? My sweet wife Anong Chakrii Sukumpantanasan." Chakrii let out a sarcastic laugh. "Have you really forgot you have a son or did you never considered him as one? Such a terrible mother you are, Anong. Do you know how much your son yearns for you. He cries knowing he will never be acknowledge by his other parent. You can give your time to that Drake basta-"
"I dare you complete that word, Chakrii." Unlike Chakrii she wasn't shouting. Her words were low toned but they were cold as an ice. So sharp it might slit through the body. "The audacity you have to call him by names. Don't forget if I start the words might end but even they will be less for you."
Chakrii's hold on the files in his hand tightened as his knuckles turned white. How he wished to kill the person in front of him.
Anong grabbed her laptop and left the monster prison leaving behind the monster.
How she wished to to help her son leave too but she was still powerless to do so......
