GRAYSON

I'm sitting in my office, 10pm on a Thursday night, in my penthouse, not where I thought I'd be spending my week but things took a turn last night when Cole found a drugged girl in one of my clubs and plot twist it was Kate.

Not only was someone sneaking hard core drugs into our nightclub but also Kate was drugged so bad she still haven't woken fully up from when she woke up and banged her head against the wall.

"How is she?" Cole comes inside my office and sits down on the sofa.

"Still half dead" I say.

"Come on man, it's not her fault" he says and puts a bottle of water down on the ground that he carried in here with him.

"Every girl knows not to drink from strangers cups or to leave her drink unattended, this one almost killer herself from the dosage she got" I'm honestly pissed. We're not even married and I have to look after her like a little child.

"You know yourself how sneaky they are she might've been careful and still got drugged" Cole leans back in the sofa. "You can't stay mad at her, you're getting married tomorrow"

"If she wakes up" I say and look at him "and it's not even a real marriage I don't have to like her"

"She looks like a lot of fun" Cole says and taps his fingers on the armrest.

"In what sense?" I ask and Cole smirks. "In all ways"

I'm about to say something but we're interrupted by one of my house workers. "Mr.Chernoff she's awake" the woman says.

"How is she?" Cole asks before me and twists to look at the woman.

"She's very confused but she's getting around, we're preparing some food for her right now" she says.

"Okay, thank you" I say to her and with that she excuses herself.

"See she's not dead" Cole says and I shoot him a warning glance.

"Luckily" I add and go back to my papers.

"Do her parents know?" Cole then asks.

"Yes, I called them right away"

"Why didn't they take her?" He's asking. Because the safest place for her was here right now. But that's not what I say "her parents asked to keep her here"

"Are her parents good?" He's asking genuinely interested.

"They're alright, but what parents make their daughter get married over some hotels in LasVegas" I point out and Cole nods in agreement.

We pass some time talking back and forth about business and other thing and when it comes around 11pm Cole leaves and I decide to go check on Kate.

I knock on the door and walk inside before she answers.

"Rude, I could've been naked" she says as she flips through Netflix on the TV.

"But you're not" I point out to her sitting under the blankets in pyjamas her sister brought.

"But I could've been" she says but doesn't even look at me.

"How are you?" I ask and that's what gets her to look at me.

"Don't pretend you care, I don't need you to pity me" she says and looks back at the TV.

"Usually when someone gets drugged at my club I check in on them, it's customer service" I say and she puts down the remote and looks at me again.

"Thanks for letting me know to never go to your club again, I've never been drugged before in another club" she says and pulls her legs closer to her body.
