Chapter 30

We landed in Iceland early in the morning. I didn't really get any sleep as Grayson was training me to shoot almost all night but I slept on the plane.

Our family's are already here and we're going to a family dinner tonight. Grayson has been on edge ever since he got a hint about Ivan being here. He's not attending anything with our families so it only makes sense that he's here for something else.

"Have you told him?" Bella is asking as I'm unpacking my things in the house we're staying in.

"No, I'm gonna tell him tonight" I have made a decision that I can't wait longer to tell him, I've been more nauseous than before and it's gonna be hard to hide very soon.

"Good, that means we can get the attorney to terminate the will" Bella says and takes her phone out of her handbag.

"Should I maybe tell him before we do it?" I ask her and she shakes her head.

"It's gonna take time for them to terminate it anyways, they'll need medical proof, it's not gonna be that fast" she says and sends a message on her phone.

"Any news with the Ivan situation?" She asks and I hang my tonight's outfit. A small black dress with ostrich feathers at the top.

"I think he's working with my father" I say and sit down on the bed next to Bella as she looks surprised.

I tell her everything I found out while I was in Italy and what Grayson told me yesterday. "So he's thinking of meeting up with my father before the dinner" I finish off.

"That's a lot of information" Bella says and gets up from the bed.

She walks out of the room and I start to get ready for the dinner. I take a shower and put on my makeup and do my hair.

Grayson comes in already dressed in a suit and I can tell how stressed he is but this is going to end tonight. I walk over to him and fix his jacket and then reach on my tip toes and give him a kiss.

"I'm going to see you father now, I'll meet you at the dinner" he says and then walks in the closet and takes out a metal suitcase opening it.

"What are you gonna do?" I say as I look at the guns in the suitcase. He takes one and puts it behind his jacket.

"Are you gonna kill him?" I ask and he looks at me, walks over to me once again and takes my head in his hands and kisses my forehead.

"I have to go" he says and leaves.

I look at the suitcase on the bed where there are still some things left. I go to get dressed, dinner is in one hour. I put on my dress and heels.

As I'm putting my phone in my purse it starts to ring. It's my mother. My heart beats fast as I pick up her call.

"Kate" she says sounding breathless.

"What's going on mom?" I say and sit down on the bed.

"It's your father" she says and I hear shouting in the background "he's gone completely mad, you need to come here and help me"

"Where are you?" I ask and look at the time. Dinner is in 40 minutes.

"I'll send you a location" she says and then before she hangs up she says "but come alone he might not react good to guests"

Something about this doesn't sound right. Why would I need to come alone to a random location 30 minutes away from here? And Grayson is with my father.

And then it clicks for me. It was never my father working with Ivan, it was my mother.

I get up and go to the suitcase, I take a gun, and also a knife. I take a garter and put it on where to put the knife. And then I open the next part of the suitcase and there's multiple trackers. I take the smallest one and shove it in my bag.
