Chapter 26

"I'm pregnant Bella" I say and she freezes and gasps. And then hugs me and says "congratulations".

"Yeah, no one knows yet, and I'd like to keep it that way for now" I say and she pulls back and looks at me furrowing her brows.

She takes my hand and pulls me to sit on the sofa with her. "What are you thinking?" She asks.

"I'm not sure yet, I haven't decided" I say and she looks at me.

"Have you told Grayson?" She says and tears want to run in my eyes and I look up so I don't cry.

"Oh, don't cry" she says and pulls me in another hug.

"We talked about what we want in our future, and he said he doesn't want kids, so I didn't tell him" I say.

"Men are stupid and my brother is the biggest idiot I know" she says and rubs my arm.

"And I don't want to force kids on him if he doesn't want them, it's a big responsibility for the rest of your life" I say and look at Bella.

"And how do you feel about this?" She asks.

"I'm so scared Bella, I don't know what to do, for Gods sake I'm only 21, I sometimes feel like a child myself" I say and the lump in my throat is growing bigger and bigger.

"We'll you decide what you feel is right, and if you think that the right decision is to terminate the pregnancy then I'll support you and if you decide to keep baby we will all be here for you" she says and twist around in the sofa to give me a napkin from the box on the coffee table.

"Thank you" I say and wipe the corner of my eyes.

Her phone rings and she looks at it "it's Grayson" she says and stands up, "I'm not gonna tell him anything" she says before she picks up.

I fidget with the napkin in my hand and not even 2 minutes later she hangs up and turns to look at me.

"Ivan is in Italy" she says and I look at her. "They think he's after you"

"I left just in time" I say more as a comment to myself while standing up and she nods.

"But they're looking for you now, he says that it shows that you're still in Italy" she says not as a question but she's asking.

"I knew he was tracking my phone so I left it at home and got a new one" I say showing her the phone.

She laughs and says "I haven't ever seen someone be ahead on my brother, this is exciting" she says.

"But we do need to get you back, I'm coming with you" she says.

"You don't have to" I don't want to make her change her plans for me.

"I want to" she says and pulls me off the sofa and I wait for her to get ready and we head back to the airport and take off on our long flight to New York.

"Why did you leave?" She asks as we're an hour into our flight.

"I freaked out" I say "and I missed my family, I got back and I went to a doctor and spent time with my siblings"

"What did the doctor say?" Bella sips on her tea as we're about to fly over ocean looking out the window at the last bits of land.

"I'm about 8 weeks, and I have to go in in another two weeks to check for heartbeat" I say and Bella smiles.

"That's exciting" she says "I want to have kids so bad".

"What does Felix think about kids?" I ask curious.

"I think he wants one or two but definitely not now" Bella says carefully as to not hurt my feelings.

"Do you know Jane?" I ask changing the subject. She must know, if everything Jane has told is true.
