Childhood Friends
(Tsuchiya and Koshi's first encounter)
"Mama, can I go outside?" An eight year old boy asked as he kneeled on the sofa and looking out the window. It was raining outside and the boy wanted to play.
"Tsuchiya, it's raining outside. So you can't play." His mother told him.
"Mama, please!"
"Tsuchiya, no is no. You could get sick and you won't be able to play the next day. Do you really want to go outside and get sick?" His mom, Takashi Himasato, told him as he brought a glass of warm milk for him to at least fight the cold temperature.
"I hate rainy days.." The little boy grumpily said as he drank the glass of milk given to him.
"Tsuchiya, did you know? After the rain, comes the rainbow?" Takashi ruffled his brown locks and we shouldn't forgot the dyed streak of white. "Eh? There's rainbow soon then?"
"Mhm, most likely. What I am trying to say here Tsuchiya, listen, there are always bad days like the rain.. or storm.." He proceeds to caress his son's cheek as the little boy looked up at him as he listened. "But after the bad days, good days comes after.. like rainbow and sunshine. Without the bad days, good days never come." Takashi smiled.
"Ehh, but-! If good days never come..?"
"There's no way. Tsuchiya, good days WILL come. But not all good days are rainbow and sunshine, sweetheart." Takashi giggled. "Good days are not everything that you can see."
"But how will I know if good days did come, if not all good days can be seen?" Tsuchiya climbs on his mother's lap and he helped him up.
"Hehe, sweetheart, good days are also what you feel. Even though the rain and storm is still there outside," he gestured out the window and little Tsuchiya also looked outside, "if you feel the happiest inside," he then points on his small chest.
"You treasure it." Takashi smiled genuinely before tickling his son on the stomach. The child giggled and held onto his mother dearest.
"Tsuchiya, mommy loves you." Takashi hugged his son. Little Tsuchiya hugged his mom back as he laughed a bit. "I luv mom too!"
The door of the household opened and came two people. One adult and a child. "We're home." Daiki Himasato puts his bag down the sofa. Takashi carried Tsuchiya with him to greet the two. "Welcome back, sweetheart." Takashi leans over to his husband's cheek to give him a welcome kiss. Little Tsuchiya being in the middle of them, he also leaned over to kiss his father on his jaw.
Daiki flinched as he felt another contact under his jaw. He looked down and saw his youngest son giggling. "Hi Dad!" Daiki felt his chest warmed when he saw him. "Hey there, buddy." He ruffled his head.
"Mom, down. Nii-chan." Little Tsuchiya pointed at his older brother, who's trying to take off his raincoat. Takashi puts him down and he ran towards his brother.
"Nii-chan!" Tsuchiya hugged the other's body. "Wait! Tsuchiya, I am still wearing my raincoat! I'm wet!"
"Alright, you need help?" Daiki crouched down to his level and helped his oldest son open the zipper of the raincoat. "There."
"Ah, thanks Dad."
"No problem."
"Hey, hey! Nii-chan! I got praised by my teacher today and gave me a star!" Tsuchiya showed his star stamp on his arm that his teacher gave him. "Woah! My little brother is so cool! The star looks amazing." As the oldest brother, Fujima Himasato, an elementary student, he played along.
