T H R E ERemy thanked the usher and accepted the program that he was being handed and stood off to the side to allow Aliya to slide in the empty chair and went right in next to her. "I can't believe my baby is graduating and going into grade one. I'm ecstatic but scared." Aliya gushed.
Chuckling, Remy fixed his turtle neck sweater around his neck and looked over at Aliya. "What you scared for? She's only going to kill it in that grade as well."
"I know but she's just growing up so fast. We really did a good thing and I appreciate you for everything that you continue to do in our lives Rem. I never had my father growing up but seeing me break that generational cycle with you being around her makes my entire heart swell and you have no idea how big." She kissed his cheek.
He felt her words deep within him and rubbed her hands to give her comfort. He knew that Aliya struggled for a while with not having her father in her life when they were younger and to hear that it still affected her in some way made him want to forever go hard as hell for his pride and joy even if he had to do so while taking his last breath.
"Did you have fun last weekend at the club?"
Aliya snapped her fingers and looked over at him where she moved a piece of lint from his eye. "Thanks for reminding me. Did you know that stripper? It felt like you two had this weird but magnetic aura going on that it was almost freaky."
He stroked his beard and wondered if he wanted to tell her the truth or not. It wasn't that he didn't trust her or felt like he was obligated to tell her but he himself couldn't understand what had happened that night.
It felt like he was back in her from their sexual encounter two years ago and seeing her on that pole made him even more curious to know her story. He didn't want to play a savior and try to save her from swinging on the pole because he believed in getting it how a person saw fit and if she loved the pole than who was he to try and change her mind?
Their first encounter she had on a pantsuit so he thought she was a business woman of some sort but seeing her last weekend showed him that looks were definitely deceiving and he should try his hardest to not create someone's story for them just by having one or two more encounters with them.
She was always in the back of his mind though. It was like she was his addiction and he tried his hardest to find her after that night. It seemed damn near impossible especially since he didn't even have her name and the one time he saw her again is when he least expected to which showed her comical God was.
He was telling his self that he was ready to settle down and finally look for someone who was willing to go down the road of marriage and eventually extend his family with whomever his future wife may be and here Addiction come sneaking her way back into his life.
