The side of the bed next to her felt untouched which meant that Remy, hadn't slept in the bed next to her and to say that she was hurt, was an understatement. She understood that last night was her fault but she never wanted to go to sleep angry when it came to their relationship.
She thought she finally was getting it right but now she was even second guessing herself and thinking that maybe they did rush into all of this. Maybe, they shouldn't have gotten married in the first place because they weren't ready and that thought alone was eating her up because she knew what she felt when it came to Remy.
Her soul danced within her whenever he was near, her body felt the protection and love that oozed off of him every time he stepped into a room and she felt him before she saw him. He was her better half, her yolk and she had fucked it all up by not putting a nigga in his place quick enough and she was scared that there was no turning back from all of this.
Rolling herself out of bed, she grabbed her phone to check the time and was glad that it was only six in the morning which meant that she could cook their dinner and do some household chores before Church if they were still going and before she had to meet with her contractors.
Walking in the bathroom, Athena pulled down the oversized shirt that she took from Remys drawer and pulled it down some. She was bare underneath but she was also aware that Rielle was still at Remys parents house and she had no idea where he was.
After washing and brushing her teeth, she poured the cleaning products around the bathroom and cleaned it up and then making her way to their bedroom where she grabbed the sheets off of the bed and changed them into some new ones and cleaned up their room from sweeping and mopping the floor to rearranging their closet that still waited for her stuff to be added.
Once she was done with their room, she took the hamper with their dirty clothes to the laundry room and put the white clothes in the washer before going to Rielles room and bathroom to clean it as well with fresh linens and clean floors, the guest bathroom didn't need much since it was never really used and the guest bedroom just needed a good wipe down and mopping of the floor to give it a fresh scent.
Going down the stairs, Athena tackled the living room, dining room and Remys office and by the time she was done, it was going on eight o'clock. She ran upstairs in their bathroom to take a quick shower and threw on a sports bra and one of Remys briefs before placing the colored clothes in the washer and the whites in the dryer with some downy dryer sheets and going back downstairs to the kitchen.
On the countertop, she had oxtails, the ingredients for baked macaroni and cheese, potatoes for mashed potatoes, sweet corn and sweet plantain to fry. She thought about adding a next meat but didn't want to overdo it since they were a family of three when Rielle returned to them.
