The fact that Remy knew she was a stripper played on her mind all day. She knew how much marriage meant to him and how he'd one day find his forever and make whomever his wife but it was eating away at her on whether or not he'd get so angry and just tell Jace everything.

Her scandalous cheating and her stripping. She was ashamed of herself for cheating especially but she would be embarrassed if Jace found out she was also stripping. He'd probably leave her quicker for stripper rather than cheating and that should say a lot about him.

The word unhappy made her nervous because that's exactly how she felt with everything going on around her and sitting down on the park bench, watching parents with their children made her question if that part of her dreams would ever become a reality.

Outside of her adoptive parents and Niami, Jace was the only other person that she knew. He was her everything and the only man she'd slept with other than Remy.

Jace satisfied her in bed but she walkways felt like something was missing but with Remy, nothing was missing and it was as if he was her missing puzzle.

Her whole body would tingle with a simple look from Remy, a touch, a smile, a kiss and even now without him being in the physical realm in front of her. She felt him. Every inch of him and to rid herself from the thoughts that wanted to invade her mind, she shook her head.

She decided that coming to the park after work would do her some justice in getting her mind to where it needed to be tonight. Jerome and his fiancée Mercedez would be having their engagement party at the club and she assigned to dance for them which made her extremely nervous.

Hearing shuffling coming from beside her, Athena looked over as her brows furrowed. "Momma?" She asked the tiny woman whose bones you can clearly see.

"Tete, is that you?" Asked the frail woman who looked out of her mind.

Athena got up and wiped her tears. Her mother looked horrible, she reeked of pee, her long beautiful hair was matted together and she cringed every time she scratched at her arms with the holes being visible on her skin. "Why don't you let me take you home so you can shower and get a change of clothes?" She tried to grab her mothers hands.

Her mother, Ashlynn, pushed her down on the floor. "Stop trying to save me Tete! I don't need saving. Always tryna save somebody. You should've saved ya damn daddy, that's what! I don't need you, little girl. I never did and I never will!" She pointed her dirty finger in Athena's face.

Knowing that she probably didn't mean what she said or hoping that she didn't mean it. Athena reached in her pocket and handed her mother a fifty dollar bill. "J-just buy yourself something to eat, okay? You don't look healthy. Tell me where you're staying so I can drop off some clothes and toiletries to you." She practically begged her mother.
