She could feel her feet thumping against the ground as she ran around her neighborhood. It's been over two months since she last talked or seen Remy. He was very much serious when he said that he wanted nothing to do with a married woman and as hard as it was to accept it, she had to respect it. Especially knowing the damage she had already caused with Jace not knowing about her extramarital affairs.
She had hopes of seeing him at the strip club, running into him at their meetings but he would send his assistant when they had one scheduled, the grocery store shit even at the gas stations but she never got lucky. She would even on the sly ask about how he was doing with Mercedez but she never gave Athena a clear cut answer.
As for Chanel and the altercation that happened, Jerome scheduled both her and Athena on different shifts to avoid any confusion and confrontations but Athena guard was still up. There was a reason that Chanel was quiet and she wasn't going to sit around like a fool who wouldn't expect something.
Slowing down her running, she took a sip of her water that was attached to her hip and wiped the sweat beads that was forming on her forehead and on top of her lips.
The sun was only just coming up and as Athena stood before the building that was calling out to her heart, she didn't know what to do next but her gut was telling her what she always knew. She needed to buy this building.
The building that she was staring at had been on the market for two years and someone had yet to purchase it. It was an abandoned school that never finished building and decided that she had enough of seeing the building just going to waste, she pulled out her phone and called her assistant.
She was about to be the owner of a new building and she was going to chase her dream whether Jace supported her or not. He was living his so it was only right that she did the same.
When she made it back home from her run, she went inside, took a shower and got dressed before grabbing her purse to head to the grocery store. Tonight, her and Jace were hosting a couples game night with Niami, Javon Sr, Mercedez and Jerome so she wanted to make sure they had enough food and drinks to cater for them and how long they may stay for the night.
Mercedez and Jerome had been coming around a lot lately which made it easier for Niami and Javon to adapt to being cool with them as well.
Athena explained to Jerome and Mercedez that her family had no idea about her other job and she intended to keep it that way. Both of them swore to secrecy and left it alone since it wasn't their marriage.
