Tyana
It was almost three in the morning by the time I made it back home and unlocked the door to my place to find Leroy sitting on the floor of my living room barely holding up his head as he snored. But he must've been light napping because he snapped his head straight and slurred he was awake and looked around all lost and halfway to sleep until his eyes landed on me. Slowly his bearings seemed to come back to him and softly cursed.
"What time is it?"
"2:52. I didn't think I'd stay this late," I told him and he waved his hand dismissively as he got up. My baby was napping in peace next to him on the rug.
"I know she got a bed but she wouldn't move," he shrugged.
"She's like that when she get herself a new favorite person," I said, in the back of my mind wondering about just how similar Daise was to her mama.
"So you saying I'm nothing special?" he joked, shooting me a playful glance while collecting his things.
"Thank you for doing this. Truly. I owe you."
He waved his hand again as passed me at the entrance to the living room. "It was fun and I'd do it again no questions asked," he said and slipped into his shoes.
I fought the urge to ask him if he wanted to stay. It got quiet in this place whenever it was just me still up, and not the good kind. But I've asked way too much of him already.
"Good night, Ty," he smiled at me before heading out the door. I tiredly walked over to lock it and lingered as I lazily leaned forward against the door as if I was in those dramas where a door separates two characters, usually love interests. But I wasn't listening or hoping he was still there or anything, I was just exhausted.
I carried my baby to her bed before heading over to my room and lay in my own scrolling through different apps to kill the rest of the night until I accidentally fell asleep, which usually happened eventually.

In the morning I woke up to a furdemon whining at me, most likely out of hunger, so I dragged myself up to feed her. While she ate I called Tim to check up on him and reassured him before he could ask that I was coming back later today.
Another call came in as I ended the one with Tim and it was Leroy. His morning voice was starting to become something so personal to me. I could listen to a ten hour audiobook if it had his voice.
"Hey," he said quietly, it wasn't his normal speaking volume but it wasn't a whisper either. "Just thought I should check in. You get any sleep?"
"Like three. At most," I yawned. "Tried sleeping for longer. Can't even if I wanted to. Plus I got a demon living with me who just had to eat." I said, to which he chuckled lightly.
"How dare she."
"Right?" I said, mostly playing along. "What about you?"
"Home is a little... unbearable right now. So I'm about to head out for the sake of my nerves. Might get some food. You eat?"
"Not yet."
"What if I get some food and I come over, we can chill for a couple hours? I need some company that won't annoy me right now. Hanging out with Daisy was hella fun. Miss her already," he suggested and that bemused me.
