Chapter 3

It was another sleepless night for (Y/n), at this point he might as well become an insomniac. It's a good thing he was up too, as someone knocked on his door. "Hello?" (Y/n) asked as he opened the door, curious to know who was up at such a late hour. "Myaah... Hey (Y/n)... I know it's the middle of the night, but I think we've got a visitor" Grim grumbled as he sleepily stood in front of his door.

"A visitor? At this hour?" (Y/n) asked, looking confused. "I know... Maybe it's just those pesky ghosts again. I swear... They just don't know when to quit" Grim grumbled as he crossed his arms. "I doubt it, but I'll go check it out" (Y/n) said as he walked past Grim, making his way toward the front door. "Fine, fine, I guess I'll go with you," Grim said as he reluctantly followed after him.

Another string of knocks at the door caused them to quicken their pace a little. "I'm on my way, who is it?" (Y/n) asked as he peered through the door's glass window. "It's me, Ace! Just let me in, all right?" Ace asked as he stared back at (Y/n) through the glass. "Eh? Ace?" (Y/n) asked as he opened the door, allowing Ace through. "Ace? It's the middle of the night!" Grim exclaimed, clearly unhappy with being woken up.

"B-Bwah!! That collar!" Grim yelled in dread, instantly noticing the large, obnoxious collar on Ace's neck. Due to Grim's loud voice, he had accidentally woken Sukuna as well. "Pipe down, would you? No one wants to hear your obnoxious voice at such an hour" Sukuna growled as his mouth and eyeball appeared on (Y/n)'s cheek. "Says you! Plus! I have a right to be loud, just look at his neck!" Grim said as he pointed at Ace.

"You mean that pathetic thing you call a collar? It serves him right for being as annoying as you" Sukuna grumbled. "That's enough out of you" (Y/n) hissed as he smacked his cheek, forcing Sukuna to retreat back into his innate domain. "I still can't get over how freaky that is..." Ace mumbled, a bit disturbed by what he just witnessed. "Sorry, I can't really control that. So, why are you here? What happened?" (Y/n) asked curiously, slightly worried.

"Well... You see, I ate a tart" Ace explained, confusing (Y/n) and Grim. "A... tart?" (Y/n) questioned, finding the punishment quite odd. "I would've done worse if someone like him ate my food" Sukuna grumbled in (Y/n)'s mind. "That's because you're a complete psychopath and a sadist" (Y/n) whispered as he glared to the side.

"Yeah! I only ate a tart! You see, I was a little hungry, so I went down to the dorm kitchen and found some tarts in the fridge" Ace explained to them. "Sounds like a him problem, I vote to kick him out," Sukuna said lazily. "You know... I don't think you should've eaten random food in the fridge. Especially when it's other people's food" (Y/n) commented, ignoring Sukuna's words.

"Ha?! But they were made by Trey! Our professional chef! Plus, I only ate a bit of it! Then he used Rule 89 and stuck this blasted collar on me!" Ace exclaimed as he yanked at the collar. "So... The point is you're both terrible?" Grim asked with a blank look, clearly too tired to care. "Uh-huh, seriously, you both need serious help" (Y/n) agreed as he nodded his head excessively.

"Huh?! You both don't think that it's insane for my magic to get sealed away for eating ONE slice of tart?!" Ace argued, clearly offended. "Please, if you ate MY food, your head would LITERALLY come off" Sukuna snarled as his mouth appeared on (Y/n)'s cheek again. "I was not asking for YOUR opinion!" Ace snarled back as he glared at the mouth.

"Look dude, eating someone else's food is totally uncool. I'll admit, his reaction was a bit extreme, but he also has a point" (Y/n) reasoned as he rubbed the back of his head. "Plus, if there were three of them, it was probably for some kind of party" Grim added, for once thinking rationally. "Maybe it was someone's birthday or somethin'? Look at that! I'm, like, a master detective too!" Grim said with a proud smile.
